I was thinking on Geography as well, and I thought it'd be a neat idea to get either a city skyline or a mountain range and use labels to point out points of interest. Sidesteps the map option for sure. There are other ways, I'm sure. Reply #4. Nov 14 25, 4:09 PM |

Those are good ideas. Not sure the angle I'm gonna take yet. As usual, my first idea when given a rule was to stretch it as far as possible, so I have an idea I like, which will certainly prompt a unique Geo Label-format quiz. Whether or not you actually take it for *this* challenge, I can't guess. But I am definitely inspired :). Reply #6. Nov 14 25, 4:55 PM |

Worst case, of course, is you get two unique Geography Label-format quizzes out of me. Reply #7. Nov 14 25, 4:56 PM |

*You can not use a map of anywhere on Earth* So... do treasure maps or maps of fictional realms count? Reply #9. Nov 15 25, 2:21 AM |

I will take Entertainment - this is one of the last two formats I need there. Question - if I find an image that fits exactly what I want but only has 9 things to label, would that be acceptable? Reply #10. Nov 15 25, 3:10 AM |

Although that query may be academic, since I have realised that the image really works in FC, not entertainment. I will still commit to entertainment, unless someone else really wants it, as I eventually need to come up with an idea! Reply #11. Nov 15 25, 3:15 AM |

Video Games, because I am actually doing a Label quiz for it, though it was going to be a map one. But I can work round it. Reply #12. Nov 15 25, 3:41 AM |

Can I take People next? It's the only category that I still need to do a label quiz for. I'm sure I can think of something. Reply #15. Nov 15 25, 9:16 AM |

Re: "So... do treasure maps or maps of fictional realms count?" Treasure maps-- sure, as long as they're not maps to treasure on real Earth. Fictional realms-- absolutely okay to use. Reply #16. Nov 15 25, 9:35 AM |

I'm actually eager to see how people approach this challenge because, as a big proponent of using maps for Label Quizzes, I think that some of the most interesting submissions I see for this format stray from that. I'm most interested to see what images people can use for this as I truly think the most successful use of the format leverages a single image as a focal point in a clean and concise way that can't be done using other formats (like Photo or Photo-Match). :) To add, I intentionally said maps of Earth because I think there are absolutely good opportunities to use maps of other planets, maps of fictional places, floorplans, etc. that we rarely see. Do a map of the stars! (Sky's not the limit, har har.) Reply #17. Nov 15 25, 10:11 AM |

Mine is for Street Fighter II and it was going to be the characters' countries, but as maps are verboten, could I use national animals or flags? And find some way of putting them into one picture and sticking numbers on them? Someone recommended an online photo editor to me - I don't have Photoshop - and I can't remember what it was.
