Clarification for quiz #98. You are creating three CWs total. One of the CWs would have 10 answers drawn from the Tom quiz. The second CW would have 10 answers drawn from the Dick quiz. The third CW would have 10 answers drawn from the Harry quiz. Whether you draw your CW answers from the left side or right side of the match quiz is up to you. Either of these would be acceptable: Clue: Tom who starred on "Doctor Who". Answer: Baker. OR Clue: Show that starred Tom Baker. Answer: Doctor Who. Reply #301. Sep 17 19, 2:56 AM |

So... the question has to be what is on the other side of the answer... we cannot bring in a random such as Who was the narrator on the UK version of "Little Britain"... Tom Baker Reply #302. Sep 17 19, 8:06 AM |

Good question. You can bring in outside information as long as there is a connection to the quiz in either clue or answer. Your example with "Little Britain" would work. Reply #303. Sep 17 19, 8:34 AM |

RedHook13, I wanted to ask a question about Contract #111. I understand the quiz should be about a specific star (or stars) rather than the constellations, but would it be appropriate to include a single question asking for the constellation that includes our focus star? Where are all the CW contracts? People were complaining before because half of the list was CWs, now there's only one. Reply #311. Sep 21 19, 7:37 PM |

My earlier comments were the same as yours, i.e. that there seemed to be fewer and fewer crossword contracts. The answer was that it's up to the people claiming the contract to decide what the next one will be, and I think then it tipped the other way for awhile, and now it has tipped back. I expect it will tip back yet again before long. Reply #312. Sep 21 19, 9:17 PM |

If there's an "ideal" mix for the contracts it would be five crossword puzzles and five quizzes of Contracts #1-10. I don't necessarily think it has to be that way. (It would also count if your contract asks for a crossword puzzle and/or quiz.) As Liz said, the number of each seems to go back and forth. Off topic, does anyone know how to post an image to this discussion thread. As a joke, I created some simple images for what a theoretical "upgradable mini badge" might look like for this challenge.
