Uncle Rico drives this orange 1975 Dodge Santana "camper-van" everywhere. He also lives in the car when not watching Napoleon and Kip. On the night of Napoleon's school dance, Napoleon asks if Uncle Rico can drive him to the dance in this Dodge van, and he agrees, but Uncle Rico must sell a Tupperware-like set of bowls first. Since he does not make it in time, Napoleon starts to walk to Trisha's when a fully-loaded red car comes by, driven by two of his best friend Pedro Sanchez's cousins. Kip also tries to show the bowls are durable by running over it with the van for a client. As he backs over it, it breaks. He yells "Dang it!" and drives off.

Jeremy Coon also produced and edited "Peluca", the short film that can be seen on the "Napoleon Dynamite" DVD.

Pedro, played by Efren Ramirez, becomes Napoleon's best friend. They met at school when Napoloeon was asked to show Pedro where his locker was.

If you watch carefully during this conversation, the cheese keeps moving around on the plate. In the last shot, the cheese is in a very tall pile on top of the chips!

Napoleon drew a picture of Trisha and asked her to go to the dance and Trisha's mom made her go. Trisha din't want to go with Napoleon to the dance because Napoleon was a nerd. Trisha's mom made her go because Napoleon's Uncle Rico told her that Napoleon is a bed-wetter. Within a few minutes of arriving at the dance, Trisha ditched Napoleon and went to her popular friends.

At the end the credits it says, 'Thanks to residents of Preston, Idaho'. Also, the school bus at the beginning of the film lists Preston School District on the side panel.

While eating lunch at a picnic table, Kip and Lafawnduh are making facial expressions, including Kip raising his eyebrows and Lafawnduh winking at Kip. After this continues for a minute or so, she pulls out a box similar to those at a jewelry shop that contain the item you would buy. Inside of this box is a giant eagle bling necklace that LaFawnduh places around nervous Kip's neck. He smiles half-heartedly, but he is seen later in the movie wearing it, along with a leather jacket and no glasses on. It is unknown why Kip is not wearing glasses, but he later wears them again in the marriage scene at the end of the movie.

Napoleon was definitely sporting some pretty outdated stuff. You have to appreciate it though. The costumes were designed by co-writer Jerusha Hess.

"A freakin' 12-gauge, what do you think?" -Napoleon says this to Don and his friends in the locker room. Don is sort of Napoleon's bully. Napoleon is apparently making up a story about shooting wolverines after they tried to attack his cousins.

"Now I'm just going to break the wrist and walk away" was said later in the scene. I love this part, because to break Kip's wrist, all Rex does is slap Kip's hand.

"Indians" is noticeably written on a banner in the background in the school hall in a couple scenes.

Napoleon had a light blue shirt that said 'Endurance' and it had a picture of a horse fading into it. Napoleon wears a variety of vintage shirts, including shirts with wolves, 'Rick's College', and one with a helicopter.

She is selling these door to door to earn money for college, along with Glamour Shots. She asks "Would you like to buy a Boondoggle keychain, a must for this year's fashion?", to which Napoleon replies "I already made an infinity of those at Scout Camp". She leaves "a bunch of crap" on Napoleon's porch after Kip, who was listening in on the conversation from the living room, insults her mother.

Uncle Rico, played by John Gries, and Kip, played by Aaron Ruell, want to make money. They decide to sell these food containers to people, in 24 and 32 piece sets.

Napoleon had to feed Tina the llama a couple of times in the movie and Tina wouldn't eat the food Napoleon was giving her. They have a llama because Napoleon's grandma likes llamas. Tina probably didn't like the food because it was Napoleon's grandma's bad cooking.

Napoleon wears a yellow shirt during the movie that reads "Rick's College". Remember this kid is a "Latter-day Saint". Wearing LDS apparel is common for LDS young adults.

Uncle Rico comes upon a middle-aged couple, and in order convince the couple to buy the 24-piece set, he includes a model sailboat with the set. The wife of the couple loudly whispers to her husband, "I want that!" Afterward, to convince them to buy it even more, He tells Lance, the husband, to try and rip a bowl apart. After many attempts, he says, "I can't do it. I can't." The couple buys the set, thanks to Uncle Rico's persuasion. The reason that Uncle Rico is trying to make some money is so he can buy a time machine to travel back to 1982 and become an NFL quarterback, since "the coach didn't put him in in the fourth quarter, so they lost the state championship."

"Well, I have all your equipment in my locker. You should probably come get it 'cause I can't fit my nunchucks in there anymore." -Napoleon says this to Deb at lunch. You can see the lockers several times throughout the movie. For instance, you see them when Don picks on Napoleon, when he first meets Pedro, and when he gives Deb her key chains back.
