Answer: Bruiser Brody

Frank Donald Goodish was born on June 18, 1946. He first started wrestling in 1976, but became popular in the 80s. He wrestled until he died in 1988. He was stabbed by Jose Gonzalez, another wrestler, known as Invader I. Gonzalez was acquitted by reason of self-defense.

Goodish wrestled mainly under the name Bruiser Brody. However, he also used King Kong Brody, the Masked Marauder, and Red River Jack. Brody was protective of his "in-ring image." It was rare for him to lose a match intentionally. He was inducted into various Halls of Fame for wrestling including the WWE Hall of Fame.
2. Teddy Ruxpin could talk.

Answer: True

Ken Forsse created Teddy Ruxpin in 1985. His eyes and mouth move as he tells stories from a cassette built into his back. He looks like a teddy bear. At one point it was the best-selling toy of 1985-1986. Since it was invented other versions have been invented upgrading the bear, such as replacing the cassette with a digital cartridge.

In 1986, an animated series debuted based on the toy.
3. Andre the Giant was an actor, but what is he best known for?

Answer: Wrestling

Andre Rene Roussimoff was born on May 19, 1946, in Coulommiers, France. Roussimoff was 7'4" and suffered from a condition called gigantism, which is caused by an excess of human growth hormone. Professionally he was known as Andre the Giant. He was billed in the WWF (World Wrestling Federation) by promoter Vincent J. McMahon as a "special attraction."

Andre also acted and is best known outside of wrestling for his role as Fezzik in the 1987 movie "The Princess Bride".

Roussimoff died on January 28, 1993, from congestive heart failure. He was 46.
4. In the "Fox and the Hound", which one was the fox?

Answer: Tod

Tod is one of the two main characters in Disney's 1981 full-length animated feature film, "The Fox and the Hound." Tod was the fox kit. His best friend was Copper, the bloodhound/coonhound mix puppy.

During the movie, the two are the best of friends, but as adults, they are not supposed to be friends, and it is Copper's job to rid his home of foxes like Tod.

Mickey Rooney voiced Tod. Kurt Russell voiced Copper.
5. What kind of animal was Oliver from Disney's "Oliver and Company"?

In 1988, Disney released their full-length feature film, "Oliver & Company". It was an animated version of Dickens' "Oliver Twist" using animals to tell the story. Oliver (voiced by Joey Lawrence) was an orange tabby kitten who was abandoned and taken in by dogs who were thieves, including Dodger (voiced by Billy Joel).
6. Which wrestler's real name is Terry Bollea?

Answer: Hulk Hogan

Terry Gene Bollea was born August 11, 1953, in August, Georgia, USA. Bollea was a musician in Florida during his college years. He played the fretless bass guitar. In 1976, he formed a band called Ruckus. The band was popular in the Tampa Bay, Florida area.

Wrestlers often came to a bar where the band performed. Two of these wrestlers were the Brisco Brothers, who did tag team wrestling. They were impressed by Bollea's size. They convinced him to try wrestling. In 1977, he put on a mask and became "The Super Destroyer".

He got his nickname, Hulk Hogan, when he did a local talk show with Lou Ferrigno (who played the Hulk in the 1977 TV show, "The Incredible Hulk"). The host of the talk show said that Bollea, who was 6'7" and weighed 295 pounds, dwarfed 'The Hulk."

Hulk Hogan won thirteen wrestling championships, including WWF/WWE championships, and WCW World Heavyweight Championships.
7. In Disney's "The Little Mermaid", what is the name of the main mermaid?

Answer: Ariel

Ariel is the main character of the 1989 Disney full-length animated movie "The Little Mermaid". This was based on the Hans Christian Andersen book of the same name. In the book, the mermaid is not named.

Ariel is fascinated with humans and longs to go up to the surface to see one. However, her father, King Triton, forbids it and puts Sebastian in charge of watching her. She ends up going up and saving Prince Eric's life.
8. What are the names of the dolls made by Coleco with the name Xavier on their bottoms?

Answer: Cabbage Patch Kids

In 1982, Coleco Industries launched a doll with cloth bodies and plastic heads; they were called Cabbage Patch Kids. Xavier Roberts' Little People soft-sculptured dolls inspired the Cabbage Patch Kids line of dolls. When Roger L. Schlaifer got the rights to the dolls in '82, he renamed them Cabbage Patch Kids. They have the name Xavier written on their bottoms.

Not only were dolls made, but there were children's clothes with pictures of the dolls on them, bedding, and even a TV series among the things that were part of the franchise.

Each doll came with a birth certificate and adoption papers. When Roberts had them under the Little People name, he told people the dolls "were not for sale, but could be adopted." The price was between $60 and $1000.

A story was created as part of the marketing about how the children were born in Cabbage Patch fields. They had to be adopted, so they were not forced to work in mines.

In 1986, Disney released their feature animated film "The Great Mouse Detective". The movie was based on the children's book series "Basil of Baker Street" by Eve Titus and Paul Galdone. Basil was named after Basil Rathbone, who often played Sherlock Holmes in movies.

The movie is set in London, England. Basil's job is to save the father of a young girl mouse from Professor Ratigan. Ratigan was a criminal mastermind. Basil was voiced by Barrie Ingham. Ratigan was voiced by the great Vincent Price.
10. Who did tag team wrestling with "Superstar" Billy Graham?

Answer: Big John Studd

John William Minton, better known in the wrestling world as Big John Studd, was a professional wrestler from 1972 until he retired in 1993. When he first started, he wrestled under the name The Mighty Minton. During this time, he did tag team wrestling with "Superstar" Billy Graham.

When he joined the World Wide Wrestling Federation, he joined under the name Chuck O'Connor..

In 1983, a "True Giant" feud between him and Andre the Giant started. At the height, they had a bet that Andre had to bodyslam Studd by a certain time, and avoid being slammed by Studd during that time. If he failed, he had to retire from wrestling. If he won, he would get $15,000. In 5 minutes and 54 seconds, Andrew won.

Studd has won the 1989 WWF Royal Rumble and the WWF World Tag Team Championship, among other wins. Big John Studd died from liver cancer and lymphoma on March 20, 1995. In 2004, he was inducted posthumously into the WWE Hall of Fame.
11. Was "Rowdy Roddy Piper inducted into the Hall of Fame before or after he died?

"Rowdy" Roddy Piper wrestled from 1969 until he retired in 2011. He was known for his kilts and bagpipe entrance music, which he chose due to his Scottish background. Piper was given the nickname Rowdy because of how fast his temper would flare. His real name is Roderick George Toombs. Roddy was short for Roderick, and because of the bagpipes, an announcer who forgot his name referred to him as Roddy the Piper, and that was how Roddy Piper came to be.

He is often considered to be the greatest villain wrestler of all time. A villain wrestler, also known as a heel, is a wrestler who portrays a bad person image in the ring.

In 2005, he was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. Piper died on July 31, 2015, after a heart attack. In 2019, he was awarded a WWE Bronze statue among other awards.
12. What toy from the 1980s' face lit up when you squeezed it?

Answer: Glo Worm

In 1982, Hasbro created a toy that was a doll that resembled a plush worm in pajamas. It was battery operated, and when you squeezed it in the right spot, its head would give off a soft glow. Because of its success in 1984 and 1985, a glo bug and a glo butterfly were also introduced.

Children could enjoy playing with these during the day. However, they were also helpful at nighttime as they were like a cuddly nightlight.
13. What accessory did the "My Little Ponies" come with?

My Little Pony was a toy line created by Hasbro that first appeared in 1981. Every pony features a special symbol on one or both sides of its hind legs.

The toys have led to multiple TV series (the first from 1986-1987), multiple movies (the first in 1986), clothing, bedding, among other things. The ponies also have regular ponies, as well as unicorns. The toys came with a tiny comb to brush the tail and mane.
14. What stuffed animal toy could be changed into a fuzzy ball?

Answer: Popples

TCFC (Those Characters From Cleveland) created Popples in 1986. TCFC was a branch of American Greetings. Poppels looks like a combination of a teddy bear and a marsupial. You could tuck the animal into its pocket, creating a brightly colored ball.

This spun off to other toys, including Pufflings (Popple pets), Pocket Popples (smaller versions of Popples that could fit in a pocket), and a television series (1986-1987).
15. What was the name of Roger Rabbit's wife?

Answer: Jessica

Jessica Rabbit was the wife of Roger Rabbit in the mixed-media movie "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?" (1988). Kathleen Turner provided the voice for Jessica. The movie combines animation with live action.

Roger Rabbit has been framed for murder and has to be exonerated. He and his wife Jessica live in Toontown. However, he believes his gorgeous wife may be having an affair with Marvin Acme, who owns Acme Products and Toontown itself.
