Anthony Nesty (born in 1967) surprisingly won the 100m butterfly gold medal at 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul. He finished the event in 53.00 seconds, 0.1 sec ahead of American swimmer Matt Biondi. He was unbeaten in this event for the next three years. In the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona, he won the bronze medal.

Nesty was born in Trinidad & Tobago. His family migrated to Suriname when he was only seven months old. He started swimming at the age of five.

The Tunnel of Hope was a tunnel constructed between March and June 1993 during the Siege of Sarajevo in the midst of the Bosnian War.

The function of the fabella is not fully understood but it is thought to act as a pulley for the gastrocnemius muscle, playing a role in knee extension.

It is a popular game played among friends and relatives during spare times. The winner of each set is the first to form sets and a pair, often using 14 tiles. Players take turns drawing and discarding tiles, aiming to collect the right combinations to achieve a winning hand.
10. PEOPLE What was the occupation of Valentina Tereshkova before she became the first woman to travel into space in 1963?

Answer: Textile factory worker

Born in 1937 in a village on the Volga River, her parents worked in the collective farm. Her father, a tank commander, was killed in the Finnish War during WWII. Her mother worked in the textile factory. At the age of 16, Valentina left school and also started work in the textile factory, but continued her education through correspondence courses.

At an early age, she became interested in parachuting and competed as an amateur skydiver, making her first jump aged 22 on 1959. Her expertise in parachuting led to her being selected as a cosmonaut.

She joined the Air Force as part of Cosmonaut Corps and graduated as an officer. At the age of 26, she achieved the solo space mission in 1963 on Vostok 6. She spent three days in space and orbited the Earth 48 times.

After her dissolution as a cosmonaut in 1969, she remained in the space program as an instructor. In 1997, she retired from the Air Force, having attained the rank of major general.
