Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. "She loved Ben, Yeah Yeah Yeah. She loved Ben, Yeah Yeah Yeah. And with a love like that you know he should be glad". Which actress and singer formed the female half of the once-doomed celebrity entity known as Bennifer?

Answer: Jennifer Lopez

Sure to be a big hit, this song will debut at the Grammys. Of course, Jennifer Lopez doesn't love Ben Affleck anymore. Their relationship struggled to overcome the turkey (and the word is used advisedly) that was "Gigli" and they split on the eve of their planned wedding. Ben Affleck went on to marry another Jennifer, Ms. Garner of "Alias" fame.

Jen and Ben got back together in (approximately) July of 2021. They tied the knot in July 2022.
2. "Now I wonder wonder wonder, wonder WHO, WHO, WHO wrote the book of Silas Marner"?

Answer: George Eliot

Written by Mary Ann Evans (pen name George Eliot) in 1861. The song of course, will be a bigger hit. Someday campers will sit around the campfire and sing "Who Wrote the Book of Silas Marner?"
3. "Oh I've been through this desert on a horse with no mane It felt good to be out in Mongolia In this desert I can remember my name cuz the cactus there gives me a royal pain La la la la. So tell me, where, oh where, AMMM I"?

Answer: Gobi

"The Gobi desert covers a great expanse in Mongolia, yeah yeah yeah.
The Negev is in Israel and the Sahara is in Africa yeah, yeah yeah
Unless you are singin' about the mighty hotel
Located on the Las Vegas Strip
Now I don't want to put you in a crimp
But I hope you did not choose Kalamari
Kalahari is the name of a desert in Africa
Kalamari is deep fried squid.
Everybody
Yeah, yeah yeah".
4. "Oh I have seen fire and I have seen rain And I have seen days at work that I thought would never end I have seen lonely times when I could not buy a friend But I always thought that I would see this relative of the Giraffe one more time again. Ooh Ooh Ooh".

Answer: Okapi

"Oh yeah an Okapi is related to the giraffe, but smaller like an ox
Yeah yeah yeah
If they had crossed a turtle with a giraffe
They would have got an animal that sticks its neck out for nobody
Oopity oopity ooh".
5. "Row Row Row your ship across the icy Atlantic Merrily Merrily Merrily who directed the movie 'Titanic'"?

Answer: James Cameron

Sure to be a hit at parties. Don't forget the ice.
6. "Sailing Sailing over the Ocean Blue Captain Kidd is an ugly pirate and he has a mean crew Ooh ooh, Yeah yeah And I want to know have you ever seen the rain? And if you can explain The name of Captain Kidd's Ship"?

Answer: The Adventure Galley

"Oh yeah, that Captain Kidd, he went sailing after Pirates, but he sacked a couple of ships
Ooh ooh ooh
The next thing you know he was hanging from the slips
Ooh ooh ooh".
7. "Now I met a man he was an educated man, an educated man was he. He wrote of tales from the South Pacific, to outer Space, to the shores of Hawaiiieeeee Now this man also wrote a tale, a very good tale of three families They were the nobility, the gentry and the peasant folks, the folks just like you and me So can you tell me what, what, what is the name of this tale"?

Answer: Poland

"Oh Yeah, James Michener wrote many things, like "Tales of the South Pacific" and "Hawaii".
But he also wrote a novel in 1983 entitled "Poland" which featured the Counts Lubonski, (the Nobles) the Bukowskis (Gentry) and the Buks (everybody else).
I have not read this 600 page novel yet, cuz I am waiting for the pop-up version.
Yeah yeah yeah".
8. "Somewhere over the rainbow and beyond Japan Lies this mythical Kingdom that somehow sank in the sand Now I don't know where this kingdom really is mainly because it's lost I only know it is probably by a sea and not Japan But you try rhyming Mediterranean".

Answer: Atlantis

"Oh if I knew where Atlantis is
One thing is completely sure
Either I found the lost mythical city
Or I am lost too
Yeah Yeah Yeah".
9. "The Time is come to talk of many things Of mice and men and toys on strings Of Furballs and litter boxes and cats with tails Speaking of the latter Stop this chatter And tell me Yeah yeah yeah Which of the following cats has no tail"?

Answer: Manx

My sister's cat wrote this question. She thinks she's so smart. I had to tell her how to spell litterbox. And I informed her that the Manx was named after the Isle of Man, where the tailless cat came to flourish.
10. "Here's the story of a lovely lady Who's name Gaea means the earth She was busy bringing up lots of children None of whom were named Mearth Here's the story of a God name Uranus Who ruled the universe from his throne He was a Sky God and created the Titans And he was all alone. And that's the way I end this quiz, I end this Quiz".
