Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Okay, no matter which version you have, which of these squares is on every official English language Monopoly board under this name?

Answer: Go

The four corner squares are identical (in text and graphics) on every licensed Monopoly game.
2. Instead of Chance and Community Chest cards, what cards are there on Dog-Opoly?

Answer: Good Dog/Bad Dog

Although all of the choices are, uh, interesting, the correct choice is Good Dog/Bad Dog. And just like they imply, Good Dog cards are generally good, and Bad Dog cards are usually not.
3. On Dog-Opoly, which of these is NOT one of the playing pieces?

Answer: Ball

I think a ball shaped piece would be hard to keep still . . . The pieces are a little flea, a cat, a juicy steak, a postman, a fire hydrant, and a dog dish with a bone.
4. Instead of green houses and red hotels, what do the property pieces look like on Dog-Opoly?

Answer: Brown dog houses and white bones

Instead of the hotels and houses there are now dog houses and bones. What I would like to know is this: How do you stay in a dog bone?
5. The Vet Fee is $100 on Dog-Opoly.

Answer: False

Nope, the fee is $75, which happens to be based on the luxury fee on the original game.
6. What type of dog is in the center of the Dog-Opoly board game?

Answer: Boston Terrier

Tricky I suppose, but every quiz has to have at least one hard question! You can also find a Boston Terrier on the board. He's worth $90 and is sitting in a little bucket.
7. What is the most expensive dog in the game?

Answer: Great Dane

The Great Dane is the most expensive. On this game the prices are based upon the dog's size, so the Saint Bernard is next largest, then the Mastiff. That way no one could accuse them of playing favorites (just kidding!). And the Newfoundland isn't even on the game!
8. Instead of saying "Just Visiting" at the Jail on the original Monopoly, what does the Dog-Opoly board say by the Kennel?

Answer: Just Sniffing

Why you would ever want to smell a dog kennel I'll never know, but that is definitely what it says!
9. There is not a Pomeranian on the game board.

Answer: True

Although they couldn't put EVERY breed of dog on here, I kind of wondered why they didn't put the cute little Pommie on here. Oh well, that's show biz I guess!
10. And for the last question, which company produced Dog-Opoly?

Answer: Late for the Sky

I was POSITIVE it was Milton-Bradley, but I looked it up and it's Late for the Sky!
