Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Whose face is featured on the dollar bills in Spongebob Monopoly?

Answer: Mr. Krabs'

The money comes in the standard colors (orange, tan, yellow, blue, green, pink, and white), and the same dollar amounts as in the original Monopoly (i.e. $500, $100, $50, $20, $10, $5, and $1). The dollar amounts are surrounded by a spoked steering wheel used on ships.
2. Which two properties replace Park Place and Boardwalk?

Answer: Spongebob's Pineapple and The Krusty Krab

These are the properties with the highest rent and they are the last two properties on the board. They're a good investment because they're frequently landed on, but they're expensive to buy. These two properties represent two locations in which a lot of the show takes place.
3. Which one of these is NOT one of the 'railroads' in Spongebob Monopoly?

Answer: Invisible Boatmobile

The fourth mode of transportation is called Bikini Bottom Bike Tours. These spaces replaced the four railroads use in the original version of Monopoly (Reading, B&O, Pennsylvania, and Shortline). The Invisible Boatmobile is the car used by the super heroes "Mermaid Man and Baracle Boy" in the show.
4. What items replaced the houses and hotels used to put on properties in this new version of the game?

Answer: Pineapples and Krusty Krabs

While the colors of the houses in hotels vary from version to version of Monopoly, in this version the houses (pineapples) are yellow and the hotels (Krusty Krabs) are red. Another thing about the houses and hotels is that there are only 32 Pineapples that come with the game and 12 Krusty Krabs, to put a cap on how much one person can make from their properties.
5. Which card replaces the Community Chest card?

Answer: Treasure Chest

With the Treasure Chest card you can get anything, from good cards like "Advance to Go. Collect $200", to the dreaded "Go to Jail" card. The Treasure chest card features a treasure chest and Spongebob's snail Gary on it.
6. What card replaced the Chance card?

Answer: Life Preserver

The Life Preserver cards are mainly good cards, but there are some bad ones too. For example, the cards "You invent Stuffed Shorts. Collect $150", and "You've been elected mayor of Bikini Bottom. Pay each player $50."
7. What is the most expensive property on the board?

Answer: Krusty Krab

The Krusty Krab costs $400, which makes it the most expensive property. Spongebob's Pineapple costs $350, Squidward's Island Head costs $320 and Patrick's Rock only costs $100. The Krusty Krab also has the highest rent, which is $50 for each opposing player that lands on it.
8. Which one of these properties is NOT on the board?

Answer: Bikini Bottom Zoo

Grandma's House costs $220, Tough Tavern costs $180, and The Salty Spitoon costs $140. They're located on the first half of the board which makes they're rent on the lower side. It's surprising that these locations are featured in the game because they're all very minor locations in the show.
9. Which one of these characters is NOT one of the pieces that players can play as?

Answer: Larry the Lobster

Larry the Lobster is featured in the TV show but not in the game. The characters you can play as are Gary the Snail, Sandy, Patrick, Plankton, Squidward, Mr. Krabs, and Spongebob.
10. We wouldn't have this game without Spongebob, so: who is the creator of Spongebob?

Answer: Steven Hillenburg

Steven Hillenburg is the creator, and mastermind behind Spongebob. Seth Macfarlane created "Family Guy". Matt Groening created "The Simpsons" and Tim Burton is a movie director/producer.
