Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
Answer:

New Kids on the Block was formed in Dorchester, Massachusetts, U.S., in 1984. Jordan Knight, Jonathan Knight, Joey McIntyre, Donnie Wahlberg, and Danny Wood have been in the group since it was founded in 1984, except Joey McIntyre, who joined in 1985. The group performs pop, R&B, and teen pop. Between 1986 and 2024, they have released eight studio albums, 32 singles, and 26 music videos.

The group signed up with the label Columbia Records at the end of 1985. It was Columbia Records that told the manager Maurice Starr to change the name of the group, as they were known then as Nynuk. The new name of the group was actually the name of a song Donnie Wahlberg had composed and also the name of their first album, "New Kids on the Block."

In 2010 New Kids on the Block teamed up with the Backstreet Boys, a collaboration known as "NKOTBSB." They toured together as one large group and released an album in May 2011, also known as "NKOTBSB." The compilation album reached number seven on the US Billboard 200. The supergroup came to an end in 2012.

"New Kids on the Block" was the debut album, reaching number 25 on the US Billboard 200, while in the UK the album stalled at number six on the UK Albums Chart. Their next album, called "Hangin' Tough," released August 12, 1988, topped the charts on the US Billboard 200 and reached number two on the UK Albums Chart.

Incorrect answers were "All I Have to Give" by the Backstreet Boys, "It's Gonna Be Me" by NSYNC, and "Flying Without Wings" by Westlife. "Mr. Telephone Man," New Edition; "No Matter What," Boyzone; and "Back for Good," Take That.
