Answer: The Bee Gees

The Bee Gees were formed in 1958 in Redcliffe, Queensland, Australia by brothers Barry, Robin, and Maurice Gibb. They began performing as children at local venues around Brisbane and gained early exposure through radio and television appearances. The name 'Bee Gees' was inspired by a DJ and promoter who noticed their initials (BG for Brothers Gibb).

Their single 'Lonely Days' was released in 1971 and reached number 33 on the UK Singles Chart and peaked at number three on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, making it their first hit in America.

Freddy Fender was an American singer known for blending country, rock, and Tejano music. Born Baldemar Huerta in 1937 in San Benito, Texas, he rose to fame with hits like 'Before the Next Teardrop Falls'. He became one of the first Latino artists to break into mainstream country music.

'Wasted Days and Wasted Nights' peaked at number one on the U.S. Billboard Hot Country Singles chart, number eight on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, and number six on the Cashbox Top 100 in 1975.

3. 'Days Go By' (2001 and 2002)

The British band, Dirty Vegas formed in 2001 in London. They were originally a trio: Ben Harris (guitar), Paul Harris (keyboards), and Steve Smith (vocals). The name 'Dirty Vegas' was chosen after they were denied the use of 'Dirty Harry' due to copyright concerns.

In 2001, their single 'Days Go By' peaked at number 27 on the UK Singles Chart. In 2002, it re-entered the UK charts, reaching number 16 and hitting number 14 on the US Billboard Hot 100. Its success was boosted by its use in a Mitsubishi Eclipse TV advert. In 2003, it won a Grammy for Best Dance Recording.

4. 'Days of Wine and Roses' (1963)

Andy Williams, born Howard Andrew Williams, was an American singer and TV host born on December 3, 1927, in Wall Lake, Iowa. He rose to fame in the 1950s and 1960s with his signature song 'Moon River'. He began performing at age eight with his brothers in The Williams Brothers Quartet, singing in church choirs and on the radio. The group toured the Midwest and backed Bing Crosby on 'Swinging on a Star' in 1944.

His single 'Days of Wine and Roses' reached number 26 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and number nine on the U.S. Billboard Adult Contemporary (Easy Listening) in 1963. It was released as the B-side to 'Can't Get Used to Losing You', which was also a major hit.

Andy's other singles include: 'Music to Watch Girls By', 'Happy Heart', 'The Hawaiian Wedding Song', 'Born Free', 'A Time for Us' and 'It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year'.
5. 'Thank You for the Days' (1968)

The British band The Kinks was formed in Muswell Hill, North London, England, in 1962 by brothers Ray and Dave Davies, along with bass guitarist Pete Quaife. Before settling on 'The Kinks', they performed under several names including The Ray Davies Quartet, The Ravens, and The Bo-Weevils.

'Thank You for the Days' was released in 1968 and peaked at number 12 on the UK Singles Chart. Despite its popularity in the UK, the single didn't chart in the United States, as the band was banned from touring there for four years in 1965 due to backstage violence, payment disputes, and union complaints.

6. 'These Are the Days of Our Lives' (1991)

Queen is a legendary British rock band formed in London in 1970, known for their theatrical style and flamboyant frontman Freddie Mercury. The band evolved from an earlier group called Smile, which included Brian May and Roger Taylor. Mercury suggested the name Queen for its regal connotations.

The single 'These Are the Days of Our Lives' was released as a double A-side with the reissued 'Bohemian Rhapsody' shortly after Freddie Mercury's death. It reached number one on the UK Singles Chart in 1991 and held the top spot for five consecutive weeks. In the United States, it was released as a B-side to 'Bohemian Rhapsody' but didn't chart independently on the Billboard Hot 100.

7. 'Bad Old Days' (1978)

Co-Co was a British pop group active from 1974 to 1980. They're best known for representing the UK in the Eurovision Song Contest 1978 with 'The Bad Old Days'. Originally called Mother's Pride, the band underwent several lineup and name changes during their career. Cheryl Baker later gained fame as a member of Bucks Fizz, winners of Eurovision 1981.

The single 'The Bad Old Days', written by Stephanie de Sykes and Stuart Slater, reached number 13 on the UK Singles Chart in 1978 and remained on the chart for seven weeks. At the Eurovision Song Contest in Paris on April 22, 1978, it came 11th out of 20 entries, the UK's worst result at the time.

Their other singles are: 'Wake Up', 'Don't Push Me 'Round', 'I'm Gonna Break Your Heart', 'You're My Sweetheart', 'I Need You', 'Only Love' and 'I'm in Love Again'.
8. 'Days Are Forgotten' (2011)

The British band Kasabian formed in Leicester, England, in 1997, and are known for blending indie rock, electronic, and psychedelic influences. Originally called Saracuse, they changed their name to Kasabian, inspired by Linda Kasabian, a member of the Manson Family. Their breakout came with the 2004 debut album 'Kasabian'.

'Days Are Forgotten' reached number 28 on the UK Singles Chart in 2011and peaked at number 36 on the Downloads Chart. It also reached number 13 on the Greece Top 20 in 2012 and appeared briefly on the Europe Official Top 100, peaking at number 92.

9. 'Those Were the Days' (1968)

Answer: Mary Hopkin

British singer Mary Hopkin was born on May 3, 1950, in Pontardawe, Glamorgan, Wales. She rose to fame in 1968 with her debut single 'Those Were the Days', produced by Paul McCartney and released on The Beatles' Apple Records. She grew up in a Welsh-speaking family and began singing folk music locally. She was discovered by model Twiggy, who saw her on the talent show 'Opportunity Knocks' and recommended her to Paul McCartney.

'Those Were the Days' reached number one on the UK Singles Chart and number two on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 in 1968. It spent six weeks at number one in the UK and 21 weeks on the chart overall.

Her other singles are: 'Goodbye', 'Temma Harbour', 'Knock, Knock Who's There?' 'Think About Your Children', 'Let My Name Be Sorrow', 'If You Love Me (Really Love Me)' and 'Water, Paper and Clay'.
10. 'These Days' (1996)

Bon Jovi is an American rock band formed in Sayreville, New Jersey in 1983, by vocalist Jon Bon Jovi (born John Francis Bongiovi Jr.), who recruited David Bryan (keyboards), Tico Torres (drums), Alec John Such (bass), and Richie Sambora (guitar). They've sold over 130 million albums worldwide and remain one of the most successful rock bands in history.

'These Days' was released in 1996 and reached number seven on the UK Singles Chart. The single wasn't released commercially in the U.S. and therefore did not chart on the Billboard Hot 100.
