It might come as no surprise that many of the names featured in this quiz pertain to people who have either come up in a tech-centric world or have showcased major achievements in their fields. Facebook/Meta creator Mark Zuckerberg was born in 1984, for instance, and that was the same year as famous national figures like North Korea's Supreme Leader, Kim Jong Un, and Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex. Older than both of them still are infamous whistleblower Edward Snowden (born in 1983) and Oscar-nominated director Greta Gerwig (also 1983).

The youngest in this set happen to be Indian-Canadian poet Rupi Kaur, born in 1992, and world chess grandmaster Magnus Carlsen, who was born in 1990. Sarah J Maas, known for her romantasy fiction, was born in 1986 while our two athletes, Argentine footballer Lionel Messi and Russian tennis pro Maria Sharapova, were both born in 1987.

Out outliers fall into either Gen X or Gen Z. The older of the set are Twitter/BlueSky creator Jack Dorsey, who was born in 1976, and media personality Kim Kardashian, who was born in 1980 (though her sister, Khloe, was born in 1984). The youngest options are all Gen Z. Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala Yousafzai shares 1997 as her birth year with American Olympian Simone Biles while YouTube personality MrBeast (James Donaldson) was born in 1998 and Swedish activist Greta Thunberg was born in 2003.
