Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
Answer:

After his death, Jesus was resurrected and appeared in many locations to various people. Although specifics vary from Bible version to version, most versions agree that Jesus first appeared to Mary Magdalene to whom Jesus asks "Woman, why are weeping?" (John 20:15 KJV). Jesus then appeared to more women, namely Mary the Mother of Thomas, Salome and Joanna to whom an angel appeared and told them Jesus had been resurrected. (Matthew 28:9 KJV). He then appeared to ten of the remaining eleven Apostles (Judas having committed suicide and not yet replaced) including Simon Peter, James, Philip and Bartholomew but not Thomas. (John 20:19 KJV) He appeared to them in same room where the Last Supper took place.

Thomas did not believe that the others saw Jesus and became known as Doubting Thomas until he saw Jesus himself. (John 20:24 KJV) Jesus appeared to all the apostles, including Thomas, eight days later. (John 20:26 KVJ). Thomas ceased doubting after meeting the resurrected Jesus and placing his fingers in Christ's wounds.

The resurrected Jesus also appeared to Saul (or Paul) of Tarsus on the Road to Damascus. Saul was an infamous persecutor of Christians on his way to arrest followers of Jesus when he was blinded by a bright light and heard the voice of Jesus. Saul converted to Christianity and became a Christian mission afterward. (Acts 9:3-5 KJV)

Other appearances of the resurrected Jesus occurred to seven of the apostles on the Sea of Galilee (John 21:1 KJV), to a group of 500 people (1 Corinthians 15:16 KJV), and to the eleven apostles on a mountaintop (Matthew 28:16 KJV).
