1. Jimmy Armfield was a one club man (1954-71). Known as "The Tangerines", what is the name of this club?

Answer: Blackpool

Jimmy made over 500 appearances for Blackpool. He made his England International debut in 1959 playing against Brazil in front of over 120,000 fans. Armfield went on to gain 43 caps. At the 1962 World Cup Finals in Chile, he was acclaimed as the best right back in the world.
2. Which team did Terry Cooper join after leaving Leeds United in 1975?

Answer: Middlesbrough

A highly rated left back in the great Leeds United team of the 1960-70s, Cooper made 250 appearances for Leeds and gained 20 caps for England. Terry played a further 105 games for Boro, who were then managed by ex-teammate Jack Charlton.
3. Who did Nobby Stiles replace as manager of Preston North End in 1977?

Answer: Harry Catterick

He had over 300 games for Manchester United and was a member of the England World Cup winning team of 1966. His short time in management proved less successful than his playing career, and in 1989 he returned to United and became youth team coach. Nobby retired from the game in 1993.

A great inside forward known as "The Maestro", Johnny Haynes was noted for his great passing skill and ability to read a game. John played 658 games for Fulham scoring 158 goals. He was also capped by England 56 times with 18 goals to his credit. In 1970 at age 35, he joined Durban City where he played one season and helped them to win the South African National Championship. Johnny died in 2005 on his 71st birthday after suffering a brain hemorrhage.

Cliff played 168 times for Swansea before his transfer to Tottenham Hotspurs in 1958. A crucial member of the great Spurs double winning team of the early sixties. He was considered the best left winger in the world at that time. Since retiring from the game, Cliff worked the after dinner speech circuit alongside old teammate Jimmy Greaves.
