Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What song does Hawkeye sing in the opening scene in the OR?

Answer: Cocktails for Two

"Cocktails for Two" was written in 1934 by Arthur Johnston and Sam Coslow. Duke Ellington and Spike Jones recorded the best-known versions.
2. What charge does Frank make against Ginger?

Answer: She handed him catgut during surgery.

Ginger handed Frank what he asked for and reminded him of that when he complained, but always irascible, Frank retorted, "Give me what I need, not what I asked for." After the OR session, Frank approaches Henry about putting Ginger on report, but Henry is opposed to that minor complaint.
3. Henry accepts an award in behalf of the 4077th for their high success rate in saving lives. At the ceremony, what does Hawkeye say Henry looks like?

Answer: A pregnant woman

Not used to the attention and having a general present it in person, Henry is standing very stiff and straight, making Hawkeye comment that Henry looks like he's expecting. Henry makes an acceptance speech to which no one seems to be paying attention. Because of the camp's record, General Hammond wants Henry transferred to Tokyo to oversee things there.
4. What do Hawkeye and Trapper give Henry as a going-away gift?

Answer: A bra

When Henry holds it up, Hawkeye quips, "Have it filled in Tokyo."
5. Does Major Houlihan appear in this episode?

Answer: No

Margaret's absence is not explained or alluded to. Loretta Swit only had an opening credit in this episode.
6. Frank is now in charge, much to the other surgeon's dismay. He orders the still removed from the Swamp and brings two MPs to do the task. What item does Trapper hold out to try to deter them?

Answer: A flyswater

Brandishing it at the MPs, he warns, "Be careful, it might go off." The MPs are not intimidated by Trap's choice of weapon, so it's goodbye to the distillery.
7. Hawkeye and Trapper set out for Tokyo to try to persuade Henry to come back to the 4077th. Where do they first locate him?

Answer: In a geisha bathhouse

The three men are in a tub, after which Henry enjoys a little back walking service.
8. What song do the geishas sing for the surgeons?

Answer: If I Knew You Were Coming, I'd've Baked a Cake

They also play guitars while singing. The song was written by Al Hoffman, Bob Merrill, and Clem Watts in 1950. It was a big hit for Eileen Barton.
9. When Trapper and Hawkeye can't verbally persuade Henry to return, what other ruse do they employ?

Answer: They hint that Radar is sick

They have a "fake" call and let it slip in Henry's earshot that Radar is seriously ill and nobody knows what's ailing him. Of course, it's just a scheme. Henry thinks he can diagnose the illness and returns with the surgeons.
10. When Radar is pretending to be sick, what does he call Henry?

Answer: Mother

Putting on a real show, Radar pretends to be delirious. Henry wants to do an exploratory, but Frank says that because Henry would be considered a visiting surgeon, they need General Hammond's permission to operate. Radar offers to make the call, jumps out of bed, and hurries to the phone. Too late, he realizes he has exposed the ruse. Seeing how things are in his absence, Henry agrees to stay at the 4077th.
