He also wrote for other TV shows, including "All in the Family", "The Carol Burnett Show," and "The Brady Bunch," among many others. He was nominated 4 times for an Emmy Award and won for an "All in the Family" episode "Edith's Problem". He passed away at age 86 in 2011.

Needing a drink badly after a grueling OR session, the surgeons return to The Swamp only to find the still dry. Hawkeye blames Trapper, saying it was his turn to put in the ingredients. After a few more exchanges, Trapper laments, "Our first fight."

A shaggy brown dog with a gas mask is in the bed. It quickly rubs off the mask as Ginger looks suspiciously at Hawkeye.

He makes a big deal out of eating it. Frank asks where he got the liver since the mess was serving hamburger. Hawkeye replies "From the North Korean." Apparently, it was a patient who didn't make it. Of course, it was a big ruse to make everyone think he's crazy.

Played by Stuart Margolin, Dr. Sherman is serious but is not convinced by Hawkeye's performance. Margolin appeared in two "M*A*S*H": episodes, this one and the season 2 episode "Operation Noselift," where he plays a plastic surgeon sent to give a soldier cosmetic surgery. Margolin passed away in 2022 at age 82.

Still putting on a show for the psychiatrist, Hawkeye tells him his problem is that he is in love with someone who does not return the affection. When the psychiatrist learns it's Frank, he responds, "Major Burns?", to which Hawkeye answers softly, "Frank."

Once inside what he thinks is the guest tent, he gets into Margaret's bed. The signs are then switched back so Margaret enters the tent. When she enters, he assumes she is making a play for him and he becomes amorous. Of course, Margaret creates a ruckus, attracting the attention of the camp. The psychiatrist is understandably confused.

Hawkeye is first to arrive, but doesn't enter. When Frank rushes up to the tent, Hawk holds the door open and stands aside to watch the fireworks.
