Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. This season used which of the following rules?

Answer: The top queen would face a Lip Sync Assassin.

After 2022's "All Star" season featured a cast of eight past winners of the competition, this 2023 edition of "All Stars" reverted to the most recent formula in which the competing queens vied for the top spot week after week. That queen would then hit the main stage to face off against a Lip Sync Assassin to get the chance at a cash tip and the opportunity to eliminate a bottom queen for that challenge. If the Lip Sync Assassin won, then the eliminated queen would be decided by a democratic vote from all other remaining queens.
2. How many queens returned for the competition this season?

Answer: Twelve

While "All Stars 6" upped the numbers to thirteen, this season brought back twelve competitors reaching as far back as the second "Drag Race" season with no previously-seen All Stars amongst the roster. This season also marked the second instance in which a queen from a non-U.S. season was invited to compete with Jimbo (of "Canada's Drag Race" and "UK vs.

The World") joining the dozen; she was second to be a part of an "All Stars" season after The Vivienne the previous year.
3. This season's ball episode, seen in episode three, had the queens making outfits with which theme?

Answer: Supermarkets

With ten queens still in the competition, Ru informed the competitors that they would be working away at looks for the 'Supermarket Ball' in their third challenge. This involved three separate looks, all relating to food, with the first two being brought-from-home and the third being made of unconventional supermarket materials, from scratch, in the workroom. Category one was Legen-dairy Queens, category two was Fruity Patootie, and the last one was Supermarket Supermodel Eleganza.

The episode was subsequently won by Jessica Wild who also won the lip sync (against Ra'Jah O'Hara), thirty thousand dollars, and the opportunity to send someone home. Mrs. Kasha Davis was eliminated by her choice.
4. Which queen quit this season?

Answer: Heidi N. Closet

As the queens prepared for Snatch Game of Love in the fifth episode, tensions continued to rise for Heidi N. Closet as her consistent lack of wins and accusations of alliances with the other queens boiled over. Following the challenge, she and the other girls got into disagreements that ultimately led her to decide to remove herself from the competition, marking her exit as the third queen from the U.S. "All Stars" seasons to do so (after Adore Delano and BenDeLaCreme).

As a result, no one was formally eliminated this week and Heidi was considered to have opted out of the Fame Games.
5. The top seven queens performed in a Rusical based on the life and career of which famous woman?

Answer: Joan Crawford

Marking the halfway point of the competition, the queens dove into the season's Rusical, a clear problem challenge for most of the remaining competitors based on their previous season. This being said, once the queens took their roles, recorded their songs, learned their choreography, and hit the main stage, they performed a quality show that the judges claimed was amongst the best the competition has seen.

While Kahanna and Jaymes were placed in the bottom, Kandy Muse took the top honours and lip synced against Angeria Paris VanMicheals to the Grace Jones song "I'm Not Perfect (But I'm Perfect for You)".

She won a $30,000 tip and sent home Jaymes.
6. For a final design challenge, the top five queens received boxes of fabric and accessories attributed to past "All Stars" winners. Who was not amongst them?

Answer: Alaska

In episode eight, the top five queens each received a box with fabrics inspired by past "All Stars" winners and because she won the previous episode, LaLa Ri got to hand them out. She gave herself Shea Coulee, Alexis received Trinity the Tuck, Jessica received Kylie Sonique Love, Kandy received Monét X Change, and Jimbo received Trixie Mattel. On the mainstage, it may have backfired a bit for LaLa, whose design skills were behind the other girls. Alexis Michele took her first victory of the season, facing off against Nicky Doll to Nancy Sinatra's "These Boots Are Made For Walkin" and winning the lip sync.

She subsequently eliminated LaLa, even though LaLa saved her the previous episode.
7. This season saw which member of the judging panel being roasted by the top four?

Answer: Carson Kressley

The final four were beset with a roast challenge in week nine, and this time they dug into the life and personality of Carson Kressley, one of the few main judges not to have a roast to that point. The challenge ended up being won by Jimbo who, after channeling Joan Rivers, presented the impersonation that won her Snatch Game on "Canada's Drag Race".

She subsequently won her first lip sync as well, beating Silky Nutmeg Ganache while playing her Casper character from her "UK vs. The World" talent show.

She sent home Alexis Michelle, leaving three queens.
8. How many different queens Lip Synced for their Legacies in this season?

Answer: Six

Of the twelve queens competing in this season, half ended up Lip Syncing for their Legacies, going head-to-head against the Lip Sync Assassins to win cash tips and have a chance at eliminating their fellow competitors. Perhaps not coincidentally, the six queens who had the honour (winning their episodes) were the ones who comprised the top six for the season. Jimbo performed in four lip syncs (winning one), Kandy Muse performed in two (also winning one), and LaLa Ri, Alexis Michele, Jessica Wild, and Kahanna Montrese all performed in one each (with only Kahanna not receiving the extra money as a prize).
9. Which queen was the winner of The Fame Games?

Answer: LaLa Ri

During the penultimate episode of the season, Kandy and Jimbo sat out as the assured finalists and instead welcomed back the ten eliminated queens who would be competing in 'The Fame Games' with a talent show extravaganza, hitting the main stage with specially-prepared acts. Ru informed them that as per Fame Game rules, the viewers would ultimately decide the winner, but the best queen would get the chance to double, triple, or quintuple their votes if they won the episode. Jaymes Mansfield and Lala Ri both won the lip sync and got to double and triple their votes, respectively, with the winner ultimately being revealed at the finale.

There, it was decided that LaLa Ri won 'The Fame Games' and the $60,000 USD prize courtesy of Sunday Riley.
10. Which queen won 'RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars 8' and was introduced into the Drag Race Hall of Fame?

Answer: Jimbo

Although all of the queens were brought back after the Fame Games in a supporting manner (and to show off their finale looks on the runway), it was only Kandy and Jimbo in the final round, and after both performed original songs in choreographed videos, they too took to the main stage in their finest to receive their final critiques.

After one last lip sync (to Sylvester and Patrick Cowley's "Do Ya Wanna Funk"), it was Jimbo who was crowned the winner, taking the $200,000 USD cash prize and the spot in the Drag Race Hall of Fame.
