Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Including the all-new 'Secret Traitor', this season's game commenced with how many Traitors amongst the players?

Answer: Four

Twenty-three players were brought to Scotland at the start of this fourth U.S. "The Traitors" season, arriving late in the evening for a ceremony that would start the game off with great intrigue. Although Alan inevitably led the players to the Round Table to select his Traitors (three of them, as it turned out), he also selected a Secret Traitor in plain sight, not even revealing this role to the audience.

The Secret Traitor, as the Traitors discovered, would provide a shortlist of names every night, but those in the turret wouldn't know their identity, and the Secret Traitors wouldn't know theirs either.
2. Early in the game, the Traitors were tasked with Murdering a player in plain sight, doing so by burning which of these in the castle fireplace?

Answer: Card

After the game's first Banishment, the Traitors had to act fast as they received a note, that evening, indicating that they would need to Murder in Plain Sight, doing so by locating a deck of tarot cards in the castle kitchen, then burning the one bearing one of the shortlisted Faithfuls' in the breakfast room.

It was a tough task, especially with twenty-one contestants in the castle, and it was only accomplished when Candiace started a conga line (of all things) through the building. Rob ultimately Murdered Rob C. doing this, and it granted the Traitors the opportunity to meet the Secret Traitor in the turret the following night.
3. Were the Traitors able to determine the Secret Traitor's identity before they were Banished?

Answer: No

On Day 3, the morning after the contestants had their first divisive Round Table that saw the ousting of Porsha Williams, Alan informed everyone that they would be having their next Round Table near-immediately, doing so before that evening's Mission. It was during this Round Table that the players eliminated Donna Kelce, inadvertently revealing her to be the game's Secret Traitor (though her secret designation was only known to the Traitors).

Interestingly, because the Traitors succeeded in Murdering Rob Cesternino in plain sight the night before, they were entitled to discover Donna's identity in the turret that evening, but this never happened as a result.
4. One Mission concluded with five players shortlisted for Murder. How was this done?

Answer: They were locked into cages

Leading into the game's third Mission, Alan asked the contestants to split into pairs, partnering with the person in the group they trusted most with their lives. One of these teammates would be locked into a cage for the Mission while the other would be tasked with freeing them, building towers of skulls in an allotted time to break them out. Anyone left in a cage at the end of the Mission would be shortlisted for Murder that evening, leaving Caroline, Eric, Kristen, and Lisa (and Ron, who was the only person without a partner).

The Traitors chose to send home Caroline, who they Murdered, face-to-face that night.
5. In one instance, the Traitors were barred from committing Murder. This is because, in one Mission, the players accomplished which of these objectives?

Answer: None of the players claimed Shields

The fifth Mission presented a unique twist in that the contestants could prevent the Traitors from committing Murder that night, but it required a lot of collaboration and honesty. The only way to achieve this feat and bank all of the money was by avoiding picking up any Shields presented to them for this Mission, and sure enough, no one did (though no one knew for sure until breakfast the next morning).

This meant that instead of heading to the turret to get rid of another Faithful, they could only strategize their next moves.

Interestingly, their next effort would involve Murder in Plain Sight.
6. A notable recurring item in this season appeared at the daily breakfast table. Which item appeared to hold the highest popularity from day to day?

Answer: Smoked salmon

Starting on morning five, as contestants flowed into the breakfast room in groups, early arrivals started calling out the spread's smoked salmon plates, eager to take their portions. It was in subsequent episodes that late arrivals started calling out that the smoked salmon was getting taken completely before they were even able to enter the room and sit down for the meal, and by morning six, early players were strategizing where to sit to take advantage of the dish.
7. Which player was cursed to die by touching the Traitors' fated amulet?

Answer: Yam Yam

Halfway through the game, after a tense Banishment wherein Ron was sent home, the contestants were treated to an unexpected banquet hosted by Alan. While all of the players kept their guards up, the Traitors were already on the move, having been tasked by performing a Murder in Plain Sight. For this, one of them needed to wear a Cursed Amulet, and the first Faithful to touch it would be removed from the game. Ultimately, Lisa wore the jewel and Yam Yam touched it, prompted to help her pin it back onto her outfit.

And it was dramatic. Alan burst into the meal, stood at the head of the table, and spoke of a legend of the Black Dinner. He presented the contestants with two antidotes to the poison set upon one fated player and gave them a time limit. Unfortunately, Natalie and Kristen took the antidotes while Yam Yam was dragged out of the room, accusing Lisa as he left. He was right, just not for the correct reasons.
8. How many instances of Traitor recruitment were seen this season?

Answer: One

After Candiace's Banishment in episode 8, only one Traitor, Rob, remained in the game, and that forced his hand in needing to present another player with an Ultimatum, ensuring that either they joined the fold or were immediately Murdered. Rob elected to recruit Eric as a result, and Eric opted to stay in the game as the only added Traitor this season.

He joined Rob in the turret that evening and the two decided to Murder the last remaining housewife, Dorinda, to leave only nine still standing.
9. The Dagger, won by Rob, was used to which effect at the Round Table?

Answer: Doubled his vote

The game's eighth Mission held the chance for one player to claim the Dagger, an item that would grant its owner with the power to cast two votes at any single Round Table, and once all of the gold collected was tallied up, five different players would have the chance to compete for it in a game of bluffs. Although Natalie, at one point, had the item in her possession, Rob was able to determine she had it and swapped for it at the last moment, getting the power for himself. He would go on to tell the rest of that group that he had it.

Rob wouldn't use it until the penultimate round table, inevitably casting his double vote back onto Natalie to Banish her as a Faithful.
10. Which player was the sole winner of fourth season of "The Traitors" (U.S.)?

Answer: Rob

With one last Murder (Mark) and one last Banishment (Johnny), four people went to the Fire of Truth to commence the End Game votes. After a consensus vote to eliminate Tara, the Faithfuls' fates were sealed-- Eric and Rob pulled through as Traitors with only Maura in their company. Rob and Maura, however, both voted to Banish one more time, removing Eric from the game to end as a duo. What Maura didn't realize was that Rob was a Traitor the whole time, and as a result he walked away with the entirety of the accumulated $220,800 grand prize.
