Delicious Series: Emily's True Love Quiz

Emily is running her own restaurant in Snuggford in Chapter 1 of "Emily's True Love". The player must help Emily race around and serve her customers things like crepes, donuts, drinks, and the main course. In this chapter, the main entree is stuffed peppers. Each time someone orders one, the pepper must go into the oven and be removed before the timer ends and the dish is burned.

There are two different types of stuffing (rice or meat) as well that must be correctly selected.

In the 10 days in Chapter 1, Emily is living above her restaurant and her family is helping her with activities such as cleaning. Emily's great friend, Francois, is a frequent visitor and is one of the ones urging her to follow her heart when a letter from an old flame arrives. Meanwhile, a local florist named Patrick comes by often to deliver fresh flowers to the restaurant. He gives a rose to Emily and they borh casually flirt. This is significant because Patrick would be a key character in the rest of the "Delicious" series.

The rose also became the theme of the game and can be seen in multiple sites throughout the chapters and days.

In Chapter 2, Emily is stuck in Madrid, Spain as her plane had to land due to severe ash in the area from a volcano explosion. While stranded in the airport, she agrees to help the local restaurant there that is run by Carmen and her mother. She also meets a young man that works at the airport that is in love with Carmen but afraid to tell her of his feelings.

On Day 5, besides trying to serve all the customers churros, sausage, potatoes, and sangria, the player must also do a mini-game. In this the player must follow the "clicks" or the leads of Carlos as he teaches people to do the salsa dance. In the end, Carlos uses this dance as an expression of his love.

On each day, a mouse named Carl will appear somewhere in the scene for a very limited time. The player can click on the mouse to garner extra points in the game. There are sixty total mice (the five chapters and a bonus chapter all with ten days). If all the mice are selected, a special mouse-related trophy can be garnered.

In this game of the "Delicious" series, this is the first time the mouse is relatively hidden. It can appear behind potted plants, counter edges, or even windows where he might be partially obscured by customers standing in line.

Emily helps the train restaurant owner named Fresco in this chapter. He is worred about health inspections and Emily helps him clean the restaurant. The player must not only keep the locale clean of spider webs and dirt but must serve the clientele sandwiches, salads, ice cream, and drinks. As people become impatient if their food is late or wrong, an entertainer can be sent over.

Beginning on Day 6 in this chapter, the player can send over the conductor to a table of patrons. There the conductor will play with a model train. This boosts the hearts of customers and helps keep points during game play.

Answer: Cleaning

"Emily's True Love" offers the player twenty-five potential trophies during the game. These range from completing the restaurant chapter to serving certain types of food to garnering monetary amounts. The "Making Some Room" trophy is awarded when a dirty table is cleaned just in the nick of time for a new customer to be seated. On some days the player is using Emily to clean the table (in between cooking tasks) and on other days a friend or family member is helping with the job.

Answer: Engagement ring

Emily helps out her old love, Jean-Paul, in his self-named restaurant in Paris. The player uses Emily to cook and serve dishes such as French onion soup, lamb, salmon, and desserts. In between serving dishes and cleaning tables, the player must also help Emily with a certain task. On Day 4 of this chapter, Jean-Paul drops an engagement ring on the ground. Emily finds it and assumes, incorrectly, it for her.

A mini-game in Day 5 involves the player having Emily spend time throughout the day placing the ring back in Jean-Paul's coat so he doesn't know she found it.

Answer: Fish pond

Throughout the game, each chapter allows the player to use funds earned in the game to buy decorations for the restaurant. These decorations give the player extra help. Some aid Emily in moving faster around the area. Some increase customers' patience levels.

In Chapter 4, in France, the fish pond can be purchased for $250. This increases tip money incrementally. It is also a key purchase because Emily pushes Jean-Paul into this feature when she discovers he is dating multiple women and not the person she imagined him to be.

Chapter 5 with its 10 days is an important part of the game. Emily arrives back at her own restaurant. However, it is in complete disarray and a giant hole in the floor is leaking water. Customers are not happy with how the food has tasted since she has been gone. The player must overcome these obstacles and serve fruit baskets, sandwiches, and lasagne.

It is at the end of this chapter that Emily realizes she has actually been in love with the florist all along. The ending montage shows them dating over time and ends with a proposal.

Angela Napoli is Emily's impulsive younger sister and polar opposite, often described as a "wild one" compared to Emily's more grounded personality. She appears in several games prior to "Emily's True Love" and gets more and more proactive as a character. In this game she not only gets married but gives Emily her pet dog.

She became so popular with game players that she stars in her own successful spin-off series titled "Fabulous". Unlike Emily's focus on cooking, Angela's games revolve around her career as a fashion designer.
