Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Cobrat

Answer: Super Mario Bros. 2

Cobrats are red snake-like enemies from "Super Mario Bros. 2". They are encountered in the desert worlds 2 and 6. Cobrats hide either in the sand or in tall pots and will jump up and shoot pellets at the good guys. Cobrats encountered in the sand will pop up onto the surface and chase the player down when a character gets too close.
2. Albatoss

Answer: Super Mario Bros. 2

Albatosses are red/orange birds found in "Super Mario Bros. 2". They carry Bob-ombs in their talons which they will attempt to drop onto Mario and his colleagues. An Albatoss can not be picked up by a character. However, they can be rode on if they fly low enough. In level 6-2 specifically, a character is required to ride on top of Albatosses to complete the stage.
3. Phanto

Answer: Super Mario Bros. 2

A Phanto is an enemy found in "Super Mario Bros. 2". Phantos are giant masks that can mostly be found guarding rooms that contain a key. When Mario or another character picks up a key, then a Phanto will activate and fly down towards the character. If the key is let go, then the Phanto will stop chasing that character until the key is picked up again and/or the key is used on a locked door.
4. Snifit

Answer: Super Mario Bros. 2

A Snifit is an enemy from "Super Mario Bros. 2" that is related to the game's more common Shyguy enemies. However, instead of having a plain white mask like normal Shyguys, a Snifit wears a special black mask that shoots pellets at the characters.
5. Flurry

Answer: Super Mario Bros. 2

Flurries are enemies found in world 4 (the icy levels) of "Super Mario Bros. 2". They are essentially walking snowballs with eyes and feet.

"Super Mario Bros. 2" was first released in September 1988. It was not initially a Mario game. A Japanese exclusive game titled "Doki Doki Panic" was reprogrammed to become "Super Mario Bros. 2" for the American market after Nintendo executives felt the original "Super Mario Bros. 2" developed in Japan would have been too difficult and wouldn't sell well in North America.
6. Metall

Answer: Mega Man

Metalls (aka Met/Mettaur) are some of the staple enemies of the "Mega Man" video game series. They made their debut in Guts Man's stage in the original "Mega Man" video game. They are small enemies that hide under yellow hard hats and can only be destroyed when they peek out from under their caps. Every "Mega Man" game made since features some form of Metall enemies.
7. Suzy

Answer: Mega Man

A Suzy (aka Octopus Battery) is a box shaped one-eyed robot found in the original "Mega Man" game. Suzys can take about five shots from Mega Man's default weapon.
8. Pepe

They will bob up and down as they pass Mega Man moving from right to left. Pepes can be killed by only a single shot of Mega Man's default weapon.
9. Changkey

Answer: Mega Man

Changkeys (aka Tackle Fire) are enemies found in the original "Mega Man" video game. They are essentially fireballs with eyes that are primarily encountered in Fire Man's stage. They are launched upwards out of the lava in the stage and slowly drift down onto Mega Man from above. Mega Man can only destroy them when they are descending.
10. Gabyoall

Answer: Mega Man

Gabyoall (aka Spine) is an enemy found in the original "Mega Man". They are found in multiple stages and are invulnerable to Mega Man's default weapon. They will slowly move back and forth on a flat surface. Once Mega Man steps foot onto their platform, they will move faster. Mega Man can defeat them using special weapons such as the Rolling Cutter from Cut Man.

"Mega Man" (aka "Rockman") was first released by CAPCOM for the Famicom/NES in December 1987. It would later spawn numerous sequels and spinoffs. The series gained its notoriety for giving players the freedom of fighting the bosses (Robot Masters) in any order they chose, with each boss being weak to another's weapon (which Mega Man inherits after defeating them). Weaknesses were initially discovered via trial and error.
11. Darknut

Moblins are also enemies found in "The Legend of Zelda". They resemble anthropomorphic hogs. As with the Darknuts, there are two variants of Moblins, with the blue version being stronger than the orange version. Many of them will shoot arrows at Link as they walk around the screen.

There are a few Moblins that are actually helpful as some of them hide in secret caves and will offer Link items to buy.
13. Gibdo

14. Keese

Answer: The Legend of Zelda

Keese are enemies from "The Legend of Zelda" video game that resemble bats. They are often encountered in dungeons and attack in swarms. Keese are pretty fast and may be tough to hit. They will eventually stop to rest giving Link a chance to kill them. There are three versions of keese (red, blue and black), but there is no difference in difficulty.
15. Stalfos

Answer: The Legend of Zelda

Stalfos are skeleton enemies from "The Legend of Zelda" video game that wield two swords. They are often found in the dungeon levels. As with Gibdos, some Stalfos may also be holding a small key.

"The Legend of Zelda" was first released in Japan in February 1986 and was eventually released worldwide by 1987. It was designed by famed Nintendo game designer Shigeru Miyamoto, who also designed "Super Mario Bros.", "Donkey Kong" and "Star Fox". The top down action adventure game would later spawn numerous sequels.

They are primarily encountered in the overworld map and are some of the earliest enemies that the party will be able to fight near the Temple of Fiends. There is another more powerful enemy with the same sprite as the Madpony named the Nitemare, which is silver/purple in color.
19. Manticor

Answer: Final Fantasy

Manticors are enemies found in the original "Final Fantasy" that resemble orange sphinxes. In fact, the green (more powerful) version of the Manticor sprite is called simply a Sphinx. Manticors can be encountered in the overworld and the Floating Castle and like Ochos also have the ability to poison party members.
20. Creep

Answer: Final Fantasy

Creeps are enemies found in the original "Final Fantasy" that resemble pink worms with large gaping mouths. They are primarily found in various parts of the overworld map as well as the Temple of Fiends. There is a grey version of the Creep sprite which called a Crawl. Crawls are found in the Marsh Cave and can potentially paralyze party members.

The original "Final Fantasy" was released by Square for the Famicom in Japan in December 1987. It represented a last ditch effort by Square to put forward a profitable game as previous titles had left it close to bankruptcy. "Final Fantasy" would finally arrive in North America in 1990 and would later become one of the most successful RPG franchises in video game history.
