Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. You could choose to play this game alone, where you'll play as Stella. Or, you can bring along up to one friend who can play as Daffodil. Through what means is multi-player handled in this game?

Answer: Couch co-op/in-person play

This game features the use of good ol' couch co-op gameplay, allowing Player 1 to play as Stella and Player 2 to be Daffodil. There is no actual mechanical difference between the two, and they have the exact same attributes, stats and moves. Uniquely, this is a game with multiplayer that has no online functionality whatsoever.
2. Right from the get go, the player meets Charon, Ferryman of the Damned. Charon is apparently quite busy and gives Stella and Daffodil a task that is the premise of this entire game. In a nutshell, what does Charon want them to do?

Answer: Guide spirits to their final resting place

Charon essentially passes down his title as the Spiritfarer to Stella, and tells her to collect spirits, welcome them to the ship, tend to their final needs and then bring them to the Everdoor when they're finally ready to fully pass away.
3. Charon gives Stella and Daffodil an objective really early. What is the deadline to completing Charon's task?

Answer: Infinite/does not exist

"Spiritfarer" is massively marketed as a 'cozy' game, and as such, it will never ever impose any sort of a hard deadline on the player to do anything, ever. The idea was to give the player maximum leniency, both in allowing them to decide what to, when to do it, and at zero punishment regardless of what they choose to do. It is impossible to ever "lose" at this game.
4. Once Stella and Daffodil have made their rounds and gathered some guests for the boat, the work is only just beginning. What is one thing they can do to productively interact with these 'Spirits'?

Answer: Hug them

Every so often, the player has the option to have Stella hug their guests on the ship. There is a large cooldown to hugging a Spirit, but doing so does increase their happiness level, so it's best to try and do it as frequently as possible.
5. There is a bit of 'carrot and stick' going on with how the player can handle their Spirits. Which of the following will cause their happiness level to decrease?

Answer: Becoming hungry

The player isn't just in charge of manning a ship, they're also the babysitter of their Spirits. These Spirits apparently do not know how to make their own food, as the player must constantly be the one to feed them. In doing this, the player can discover each character's favorite foods and can use this to raise their happiness even more.

For example, Summer's favorite food is Grain Salad; feeding her this will increase her happiness by even more than other foods can.
6. Throughout the course of playing the game, the player will accumulate tons of junk. The game even straight up advises them to sell this junk. Who can the player sell junk to for Glims?

Answer: Francis

Theodore and his raccoon buddies can have things sold to them, but they aren't interested in junk like Francis is. Dubbed "the Traveling Merchant", Francis will spend the entirety of this game randomly riding his float. The player can approach him at any time to sell him their junk.

He is also the only place to get Odd Seeds from, though this is typically a waste of 500 Glims that does not commonly offer a return on investment.
7. At the start of the game, the player's ship is somewhat limited in what it can do. For upgrades, who should the player talk to?

Answer: Albert

Albert runs the Shipyard, where the player can obtain numerous upgrades to their ship. Upgrades vary from things the player is able to build on it, upped travel speed and the ability to navigate through various terrains across the sea and open up new areas to explore.
8. If you want seeds or various food ingredients, the Raccoon Corps has you covered. Who runs this organization?

Answer: Theodore

Theodore sells numerous items the player can't get anywhere else. Visiting him numerous times will eventually be required for purchasing various things, such as Pork to make Pork Chops with to progress Atul's questline.
9. If you wanted to try and farm ore and wood, the Turtle Sisters are fantastic for that. What is the name of one of the Turtle Sisters?

Answer: Olga

Olga, Masha and Irina make up the Turtle Sisters. They can be unlocked as soon as the player recruits Astrid to their ship. These three enormous turtles can each take up to three ore or wood types from the player, and they can use their bodies to magically grow more of whatever the player "plants" in them.

This is an incredibly brainless, efficient way to farm any would be hard to get resource in the game, such as gold or zinc.
10. As it turns out, Stella is quite familiar with many of the Spirits she will come across. Who of the following was one of her relatives in life?

Answer: Atul

Atul was Stella's uncle in life. Anytime Stella hugs him, he will say "wasn't that the best, favorite niece of mine?" Giovanni and Astrid are noted as having been "like grandparents" to Stella, but were not actually directly related to her.

Other than Atul, Gwen and Lily were Stella's sisters, though the latter is not actually a Spirit in this game.

Despite not all being related by blood, every character who is a Spirit does turn out to have, in life, been someone who had a significant impact on her life in some way.
