Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Before each of the five Survival Missions begins, the game will warn the player to "watch out for time" and destroy all of (whatever enemies are in that level)!" What happens if the player runs out of time?

Answer: They can't

There is no hard limit to how long a player can take in clearing waves. They will find their score slightly reduced if they really take their time, but otherwise, all Missions can be passed in any way the player sees fit.
2. Whereas other modes in "Fluxteria" send the player to a variety of settings, Survival Missions just have the same one setting for all five missions. Where does the player spend this mode playing in?

Answer: Outer space

In outer space hovering just to the side of Planet Axteria is where these missions all take place. Narratively, it is difficult to say if there is a reason for this, but from a gameplay perspective, perhaps developer Baris Tarimcioglu and Playstige Interactive Games did not believe an auto-scroller would fit in well in the context of Survival Missions.
3. Survival Mission #2 thrusts a mechanic at the player which is unseen outside of Obstacle Missions. What does the player have to cope with here, other than waves of enemies?

Answer: Asteroid field

When colliding with an asteroid, predictably, the player takes damage. This asteroid field is just throwing another wrench into general survival gameplay. With bombs or lasers, asteroids can be destroyed from a distance.
4. What is the perfect score for Survival Missions #2?

Answer: Unachievable for human beings

There will never be a human being to reach a perfect score on this Mission. The reason is, players must destroy 22 enemies to pass the Mission. Their score starts as "perfect" but, like other levels in this mode, begins to depreciate after 25 seconds. This map is huge and enemies are spread to the point where it is simply impossible to achieve a truly perfect score on this Mission. The player would nearly have to destroy one enemy per second, which is just a pace that is not possible to even achieve much less maintain on this specific Mission.

Survival Missions 1 as well as 3-5 can be perfected. But 2 is completely impossible.
5. Survival Mission #3 is the most fast paced of them all, because it uniquely only pits one enemy type against the player. What enemy will players do battle with here?

Answer: Robots

Robots are fast paced enemies who will not stop harassing the player until they've been destroyed, and will constantly stay in their face, moving all over the screen to try and befuddle them. Waves of robots make up the enemy in this Survival Mission.
6. What is the perfect score attainable for Survival Mission #3?

Answer: 741

There are 20 enemies, all robots, who are very aggressive and thus do not require the player to go to them. This is key as the player is on a time crunch if they want to earn perfection here. They have to kill all 20 of these enemies in 35 seconds to notch a perfect mark of 741.
7. In terms of earning perfection, Survival Mission #4 plays out extremely differently to the others. What is the difference here?

Answer: Earning perfection is not time sensitive

A series of Giant Mushrooms appear, and the player is tasked with defending them. It is here where perfection is judged as, if the player prevents any damage whatsoever to these mushrooms, they will have attained perfection. Predictably, the mushrooms getting damaged is what will ruin a perfect run. That said, the player could theoretically spend half an hour on this mission and receive a perfect score as long as they protect the mushrooms.
8. What is a perfect score for Survival Mission #4?

Answer: 921

A score of 921 entails all of the Giant Mushrooms going completely untouched by enemies. Thankfully, that is the only condition to achieving a perfect score. As well, enemies will prioritize the player over mushrooms if the player agros them first, incentivizing aggressive play to earn that perfect mark.
9. Who is the main enemy on the final Mission, Survival Mission #5?

Answer: USF Elite Fighters

USF's Elite Fighters are fast, fire guided rockets at the player and their crafts are bulky and take a lot of firepower to down. As such, it is fitting that they make up the last stop of this mode.
10. The last Survival Mission can get hairy, so there are actually lots of ways for players to earn extra 'lives' to retry the level if they get gunned down. Survival Mission #5 can actually get a little ridiculous giving players extra chances. What is the most amount of lives the player can earn for this Mission?

Answer: 48

USF Elite Fighters always drop one life on kill. The player starts this Mission with 24 lives which, already, is pretty absurd. But with there being 24 USF Elite Fighters to kill, the player could double that count by the end.
