Also known as 'Like a Dragon', 'Yakuza' is the game series in which Kazuma Kiryu appears. Created by Sega, the first game appeared in 2005 and has had numerous sequels as well as expanding into films, branded clothing and other areas.

The games are set in Japan, using fictional names for the settings, and are based on crime with players having to overcome enemies in fights, with elements of role-playing games and exploration. Kazuma Kiryu is the main character, nicknamed the 'Dragon of Dojima' due to his tattoo of the mythical creature. He is depicted as a former gangster who is trying to reform his life.

Miles Prower is the second fox character to appear in this quiz and may be better known as 'Tails'. He belongs to the 'Sonic the Hedgehog' series with his first appearance being in the second game, which was published in 1992.

Arthur Morgan appears in 'Red Dead Redemption 2', one of the games in the 'Red Dead' series. The games are set in the latter days of the American Old West although the locations are given new names. Created by Rockstar Games, the first in the series came out in 2004.

Morgan appears in the third game and is depicted as an orphan who has been looked after by a gang of outlaws - he is now an adult member of the gang. The days of the outlaws are numbered, though, and Arthur has to deal with disloyalty and shattered illusions.

The only female character to feature in the quiz, Samus Aran is a character from the 'Metroid' games. The first of them was published in 1986 for the Nintendo Entertainment System. As well as the 'Metroid' games, the character has appeared regularly in the 'Super Smash Bros.' series, which began in 1999, as well as making cameo appearances in others.

In 'Metroid' she is described as a bounty hunter, a mercenary hired to eliminate threats. In other games, she is depicted more as a peacekeeper with more altruistic motives than to earn money.
