5. Do these noblemen go a-wooing here?

Answer: Earls Court

Earls Court, a district located between Chelsea and Kensington, is named after the court-house of the Earls of Holland and Warwick who once owned the land. It is jocularly referred to as 'Kangaroo Valley' due to the influx of Australians and New Zealanders who rented cheap accomodation in the area.

The Parish of Whitechapel was constituted in 1895, although a white painted church, St Mary Mantefelune, stood in the area around 1280. Later records define the church as being in the Parish of St Mary Matfellon 'called Whyte Chapell parysshe'.

In 1578 it was written that the distance of common land between Whitechapell and Stepenheth (Stepney) church was a large mile long. It has also been acknowledged that Mile End was exactly a mile from Aldgate - one of the eight medieval gates of London built in the 1500s.
10. Napoleon's last battle?

Answer: Waterloo

Waterloo station was opened by the London and South-Western Railway (LSWR) in 1848 and named after the famous battle of 1815. The company had its own entrance with rest rooms for funeral parties accompanying coffins.
