Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. February 22, 1959: Actor, "Twin Peaks", "Dune"

Answer: Kyle MacLachlan

Kyle MacLachlan's movie acting career started - and almost ended - with the role of Paul Atreides in 1984's "Dune". In spite of a critically acclaimed acting performance by the entire cast, the film flopped mostly due to a weak script. In the following years, it became hard for him to land any roles until David Lynch gave him another major part in "Blue Velvet" two years later.

It was also with Lynch that he achieved his largest success, starring as Agent Dale Cooper in the television series "Twin Peaks" and its spin-off movies for which he won a Golden Globe and received two Emmy nominations, followed by a Dorian Award and a Saturn Award as well as another Golden Globe nominationfor the 2017 revival of the series.
2. July 14, 1960: Guitarist, active with Tenacious D

Answer: Kyle Gass

Tenacious D, consisting of Kyle Gass and Jack Black, is a comedy rock duo whose exploits have been featured in a three episode television miniseries also named "Tenacious D". Produced in 1997, only the first episode actually aired in that year and the other two were finally broadcast three years later after some disputes between the duo and the network.

Tenacious D later produced two feature films about themselves and are actively touring and recording. Both musicians also started several acts independently of each other, with Kyle Gass frontlining the hard rock / heavy metal act Trainwreck as well as the Kyle Gass Band which focuses more on mainstream rock.
3. September 17, 1965: Actor, "Friday Night Lights", "Bloodline"

Answer: Kyle Chandler

"Friday Night Lights", a drama series about a high school football team with Kyle Chandler starring as their coach, won critical acclaim in 2006 and 2007 but failed to generate high ratings, so it was supposed to be cancelled after two seasons. However, NBC decided to share production costs and broadcast rights with DirecTV to keep the series alive and it ran for three more seasons in this arrangement. His performance brought Kyle Chandler a Primetime Emmy (2011) as well as a second nomination from the year prior.

After "Friday Night Lights", Chandler shifted his attention to movies where he mostly played supporting roles, before returning to television with the Netflix series "Bloodline", for which he was again nominated for a Primetime Emmy but failed to win the award.
4. January 11, 1969: Actress, "Halloween", "Little House on the Prairie"

Answer: Kyle Richards

No, this is not an error - while Kyle is mostly a male name, there are female Kyles and Kyle Richards is probably one of the most famous among them. Her most notable acting appearances happened as a child - she was a mere five years old when she played Alicia Edwards in "Little House on the Prairie" and nine when she appeared in "Halloween" as Lindsey Wallace.

As an adult, she appeared in "ER" and "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills", the latter of which she has been a cast member of from 2010 to at least 2021.

Kyle Richards is related to Paris Hilton who is her half-niece via half-sister Kathy Hilton.
5. September 10, 1975: Sitcom actor, "Worst Week", "Perfect Couples"

Answer: Kyle Bornheimer

Active in the field since 2004, Kyle Bornheimer has mostly taken guest and recurring roles on dozens of comedy series, but he has also been the male lead on four series: "Worst Week", "Perfect Couples", "Family Tools", and "Romantically Challenged". Unfortunately for him, none of those series survived for more than one season.

Kyle Bornheimer also regularly appears in supporting roles in feature films.
6. March 16, 1976: Filmmaker, "The Hollow", "Fanboys"

Answer: Kyle Newman

Kyle Newman's main claim to fame is his work as a filmmaker whose work documents and sometime pokes fun at fans of various major franchises, among them "Star Wars" and "Raiders of the Lost Ark". Beyond that, he also created "The Hollow", a relatively tame horror film about the legendary Headless Horseman, starring, among others, Nick Carter. The television version of that movie was certified TV-14, while the director's cut, with some additional gore, received an R rating. In several of his films, including "The Hollow", he also played minor parts himself.

He also directed and produced various music videos , among them for Taylor Swift and Lana Del Rey.

Beyond movies, his interests also include role-playing and art, culminating in two award-winning books about the history and art of the "Dungeons and Dragons" game.
7. August 27, 1980: Television actor, "Days of Our Lives"

Answer: Kyle Lowder

Where many actors work both for the big and small screen, Kyle Lowder's work has almost exclusively focused on soap operas. Lowder was a main actor on "Days of Our Lives" from 2000 to 2005, playing Brady Black, and returned to the series in 2018/2019 as Rex Brady.

He also played on "The Bold and the Bautiful" for four years, taking over the role of Rick Forrester from Justin Torkildsen.
8. July 1, 1983: Stage and film actor, "The Glass Menagerie" (2010 London production)

Answer: Kyle Soller

Kyle Soller was born in Connecticut, but relocated to London in the early 2000s to study at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. After graduating in 2008, he quickly managed to make a name for himself in the West End, mostly fueled by his 2010/2011 appearances in "The Glass Menagerie" and "The Government Inspector". His 2018 performance in "The Inheritance" earned him a Laurence Olivier Award as best actor, the top annual award recognizing excellence in British theatre.

Beyond his stage acting career, Soller has also appeared in various movies and television productions, mostly in supporting roles.
9. May 20, 1986: Lead Singer of The Click Five, songwriter

Answer: Kyle Patrick

Kyle Patrick replaced Eric Dill, the original lead singer of The Click Five, in 2007 after the band could not build on their first album's success. While this move did not result in renewed interest in the United States, the band became very successful in Asia. During the later years, Kyle Patrick also self-produced two solo EPs, also primarily successful in the Asian market.

"Follow Your Heartbeat", one of the tracks of his second solo EP, won the 2013 Independent Music Award as best pop song of the previous year.

Following the dissolution of The Click Five in January 2013, Patrick focused on songwriting and producing songs for other musicians, but, in 2020, announced that he would return to the studio to record more music of his own.
10. May 18, 1993: Rapper, "iSpy", "Light of Mine"

Answer: Kyle (aka K.i.D.)

The youngest Kyle in this quiz is certainly determined, because is original stage name "K.i.D." stands for "Kyle is Determined". Once he made the step from releasing mixtapes to fully commercial albums, he just featured as "Kyle" or, occasionally, SuperDuperKyle, a moniker stemming from his association with the SuperDuperCrew.

His first commercial single "iSpy" climbed all the way to the fourth spot on the Billboard Top 100 in 2016 and the associated album "Light of Mine" reached position 29 in the US Billboard 200 in 2018.

Kyle also plays rapper Owen, the protagonist of the 2018 Netflix movie "The After Party". In the movie credits, he appears with his full birth name, Kyle Harvey.
