Quvenzhané Wallis, (b. 2003), lied about her age when she auditioned for the part of Hushpuppy in "Beasts of the Southern Wild" (2013). She was five years old at the time of the audition while the lower age limit for the participants was six years old. She landed the role which led her to be the youngest nominee for an Academy Award for Leading Actress. A native of Huma, Louisiana, she had roles in "12 Years A Slave" and the 2014 remake of "Annie" as Annie. She works as an actress and model.
2. Briony Tallis in "Atonement"

Saoirse Ronan, (b. 1994), was born in the Bronx, NYC to Irish parents and grew up in County Carlow in Ireland. Her first claim to fame came when she was 13 years old, with the role of Briony Tallis in "Atonement" (2007), co-starring with Keira Knightley and James McAvoy.

She was nominated with an Academy Award for an Actress in a Supporting Role, for playing the false accuser of her older sister's lover. Alicia Christian "Jodie" Foster, (b. 1962), is certainly Hollywood royalty, from a very young age. She began her career as a child model in 1965 and became famous as the little girl in the Coppertone television commercial.
In 1976 she played Iris, a 12 year old prostitute in Martin Scorsese's film "Taxi Driver," with Robert de Niro. From then on, her acting career skyrocketed, with many outstanding performances, awards and the respect of her peers. She won two Academy Awards for an Actress in a Leading Role, in 1989 for her role in "The Accused" and in 1992 for "Silence Of The Lambs."
She drew media attention in 1981 when John W. Hinkley, a stalker of hers while she was a student at Yale, attempted to assassinate President Ronald Reagan. The episode weighed very heavily on Jodie Foster, who, to this day, never speaks about it publicly
4. Olive Hoover in "Little Miss Sunshine"

Abigail Breslin, (b. 1996), had been working in commercials and movies since she was three years old. Her breakthrough in the movie industry came with the film "Little Miss Sunshine" where she played Olive, a wannabe child beauty queen who persuades her Albuquerque based family to take her to a beauty pageant in California.

Her undeniable talent brought a nomination for an Academy Award for an Actress in a Supporting Role for "Little Miss Sunshine" and protagonistic roles in films such as "August: Osage County" with Meryl Streep and Julia Roberts and "My Sister's Keeper" with Cameron Diaz and Jason Patrick.
5. Lucy Diamond Dawson in "I am Sam"

Dakota Fanning, (b. 1994), came into the limelight as the adorably angelic 7 year old Lucy Diamond Dawson in the 2001 movie "I am Sam" with Sean Penn and Michelle Pfeiffer. Her amazing performance as the daughter of mentally challenged Sean Penn, was quickly followed by more roles in "War Of The Worlds" and "Charlotte's Web." She has moved successfully into adult roles, including "The Twilight Saga" and "American Pastoral." She has a younger sister, Elle, who is also an actress.
6. Mathilda in "Léon: The Professional"

Natalie Portman, (b. 1981), was born in Jerusalem, Israel, as Natalie Hershlag but grew up in the United States. Her movie debut was made in "Léon: The Professional", where she co-starred with Jean Reno, in the role of 12 year old Mathilda whose family is murdered. Mathilda ends up as Reno's protégée and he trains her to become an assassin. Portman won over the movie world with her powerful performance which, as it turns out, was just the beginning of an extraordinary career as an actress. She won the Academy Award for an Actress in a Leading Role for her role in "Black Swan" (2010).
7. Flora in "The Piano"

Born in Winnipeg, Canada, Anna Paquin, (b. 1982), was only nine years old when she played Flora McGrath, the daughter of deaf Ada (played by Holly Hunter), in Jane Campion's 1993 movie "The Piano." In the movie, Flora acts as her mother's interpreter and contact with the outside world. Anna Paquin won an Academy Award for an Actress in a Supporting Role for her role as Flora, a fact that made her the second youngest winner, older only than Tatum O'Neal.

Her success as an actress continued into her adult years with major roles in the "X-Men" franchise, where she played Rogue, and the HBO vampire series "True Blood."
8. Chris Chambers in "Stand By Me"

The late River Phoenix, (born River Jude Bottom, 1970-1993), made a first impression in acting, in the role of Chris Chambers in the coming-of-age film "Stand By Me" (1986) which was based on Stephen King's novella "The Body". He soon became a very sought-after young actor, with memorable performances, as in Sidney Lumet's "Running On Empty" and Gus Van Sant's "My Own Private Idaho", for which film he was nominated for an Academy Award for an Actor in a Supporting Role. Sadly, his talent was silenced at the very young age of 23 years old when he was found dead outside the Viper Room club in Los Angeles.

His death was caused by "acute drug intoxication."
9. Samuel in "Witness"

Answer: Lukas Haas

Lukas Daniel Haas, (b. 1976), became known as the adorable 8 year old Amish boy in Peter Weir's 1985 film "Witness" where he played opposite Harrison Ford. His performance as the young boy who witnesses a murder, was very well received in the movie world and it helped him to land significant roles in more than fifty films and tv shows. He collaborated with A-list directors, like Tim Burton and Woody Allen. Lukas Haas is also an accomplished musician, being the drummer and pianist for his band "The Rogues."
10. Cole Sear in "The Sixth Sense"

Answer: Haley Joel Osment

Haley Joel Osment, (b. 1988), will be remembered as Cole Sear, the little boy who said "I see dead people" in M. Night Shyamalan's 1999 movie "The Sixth Sense."
Before that, we first saw him as the son of Forrest Gump in the 1994 movie with the same name. Although, Haley Joel Osment works as an actor in the film and television industries, his career did not turn out the way everybody expected it to be, based on his performance in "The Sixth Sense." He did take quite a few years away from Hollywood to pursue his university studies and usually keeps away from the spotlight.
