Indeed, it was Tommy Dreamer and Terry Funk defeating Raven and Cactus Jack at 'November to Remember' 1995 in the main event. Sabu vs. Hack Myers also appeared on the card in 1995, but wasn't the main event. Dreamer and Funk vs. Douglas and Lee main evented the 1996 version, while Van Dam vs. Tazz didn't occur until the 1999 event.

Tommy Dreamer, the Sandman and Spike Dudley vs. the Dudley Boyz main evented 'Heatwave' '98.

Although he had his first success in a tag team with Cactus Jack, at 5'5', 'the Giant' Paul Lauria was Mikey Whipwreck's very 1st ECW tag partner in the short-lived Young Dragons tandem. Lauria would eventully come back to ECW a few times, mostly losing to Mikey in grudge matches.

Forming in early 1995, Shane Douglas, Chris Benoit and Dean Malenko were the original Triple Threat in ECW. They would form an alliance in WCW 4 and a half years later with Perry Saturn as the Revolution. Douglas, Lee and Candido were the second version of the Triple Threat formed in 1996 through early 1997 when Lee left and was replaced by Bam Bam Bigelow. Douglas, Candido and Storm were never an official Triple Threat, but acted as a unit after Bigelow left the group for a few months.

Steve Austin made his ECW debut September 16, 1995, during a backstage segment dressed as Hulk Hogan, dubbing himself the 'Stevester', at 'Gangstas Paradise' 1995. 'Superstar' Steve Austin would stay with ECW until December 1995 before leaving for wrestling fame in the WWF.

Cactus Jack defeated Mikey Whipwreck at the 'Big Asp Extreme Bash' in the ECW Arena in his last bout in ECW. After the match, Cactus, with Stevie Richards and the Blue Meanie, did a strut out of the ECW Arena and moved onto the WWF as Mankind.

At November to Remember 1994, November 7, Shane Douglas defeated Ron Simmons to successfully defend his ECW title. Afterwards, Simmons partner, 2 Cold Scorpio, jumped the champ and the 2 then laid Douglas out. Later in the show, Shane Douglas challenged the 2 men to a tag bout at the next ECW show, Experience the Difference, set for 2 weeks later, November 19. Shane said he would bring in a partner who was not a part of ECW. Simmons & Scorpio accepted.

Although Steve Austin was originally scheduled to be the mystery partner, an injury kept him from appearing. Brian Pillman, Austin's partner in the Hollywood Blondes in WCW, took his place as Shane Douglas' partner.

The pair lost, however, to Ron Simmons and 2 Cold Scorpio in the main event of the show.

The last bout between Eddy Guerrero and Dean Malenko in ECW went to a draw when both men's shoulders were counted down at the same time in the 3rd fall of a 2 out of 3 falls encounter. They would then go on to WCW and WWF in the following years.

The very 1st ECW Pay-Per-View, 'Barely Legal', was held April 13, 1997, in the ECW Arena and was main evented by Terry Funk defeating Raven for the ECW Heavyweight title.
