Flint Marko was a criminal and escaped prisoner. As he was running from the police, he stumbled into a crater in the ground that was being used for experimental purposes. A particle accelerator molecularly-bound him with sand, giving him the power to change into sand at will.

2. Who is the third superhero that took up the title of Nightwing?

Answer: Robin

Superman was the first to be Nightwing (modeling after Batman). Superman's cousin Van-Zee was Nightwing second. After Dick Grayson stopped being Robin when he turned 18, he assumed the title of Nightwing.

3. What is the first name of The Thing's girlfriend?

Answer: Alicia

Alicia doesn't mind The Thing's gruesome appearance because, well, she can't! Alicia is blind, so she shows a new meaning for the phrase "It's what's on the inside that counts."

In the movie, Joker was walking away from a hospital that he was going to blow up. He pressed the button, but nothing happened. This was a glitch, the hospital was supposed to explode as soon as Joker pressed it. When it didn't, Ledger improvised, and turned around and stiffly motioned with his arms as if saying to the hospital, "What happened?". It promptly blew up.
