Answer: Rachel

Rachel narrates the second book. Applegate tried to keep a pretty regular pattern of who narrated throughout the series. The final pattern went: Jake, Rachel, Tobias, Cassie, Marco, Ax.

2. What is the name of Chapman's daughter?

Answer: Melissa

Melissa Chapman and Rachel were close friends when they were younger. Now, Melissa's parents are two high-ranking Controllers.

3. What is the name of the cat Rachel morphs?

Answer: Fluffer McKitty

Rabbit and Dick are the names of K. A. Applegate's cats; Maisy is her golden retriever's name.

4. What is another name for a Yeerkbane?

Answer: Vanarx

Although the Animorphs are definitely troubling to the Yeerks, salt would probably melt them, and the oatmeal is later revealed to dissolve their brainstems, it is the Vanarx, a big purple tube o'teeth, that can suck a Yeerk out of its place in a host and eat it. Yukk!

She morphs the elephant to scare off the skeezy guy in the beginning. Chapman, acting like a concerned adult, stops to see if Rachel needs a ride--just seconds after she demorphed! Close call.

No one knows the identity of the leader, except the other councilors. This keeps him/her/it alive and protected from would-be assassins. Vissers Three and One are leaders of the Yeerk infestation. Jara Hamee, as we will see in the "Hork-Bajir Chronicles," was a leader of the Hork-Bajir resistance against the Yeerks.

8. What do the Yeerks call the Animorphs for the majority of the series?

Answer: Andalite bandits

It isn't until the last few books that the Animorphs are revealed as humans. This is surprising, considering that the series's timeline went for something like a year and a half.

Actually, Rachel is quite talented in gymnastics. But once the Animorphs entered her life, Rachel didn't need the sport anymore.
