Rachel dies while killing Tom on Jake's orders. This is the saddest part in the whole series.

Marco was in gorilla morph at the time. Ouch, that had to hurt.

I think it is really weird to call the last book in the series "The Beginning". It is not the beginning it is the end.

5. What Animorph takes Rachel's ashes?

Answer: Tobias

Tobias was the one who took the ashes. He grabbed them with his talons and flew off with them. He was the saddest of the group when she died, because Rachel was his girl friend.

6. Who was the first (and only, as far as we know) Animorph to understand the Ellimist?

Answer: Rachel

Rachel found out about the Ellimist as she was dying. The Ellimist told her everything. She also knew he would not save her even though he could.

7. What Hork-Bajir died?

Answer: Jara Hamee

Hruthin is not even the name of a Hork-Bajir, it is a word in the Hork-Bajir language meaning Andalite. According to Toby ,her father Jara Hamee died bravely in the fight against the Yeerks.

8. What word does the book use to tell you that the Animorphs finally won the war against the Yeerks?

Answer: Checkmate

They used checkmate, as you would if you won a game of chess. They won in a long war; in the end they had lost very few to the Yeerks' many.

9. What Andalite did the Animorphs talk to on the computer first?

Answer: Offeran-Jibril-Castant

They first talked to Offeran-Jibril-Castant. Then they talked to Captain-Prince Asculan-Semitur-Langor. Aristh Aximili-Esgarrouth-Isthill had been living and fighting with them for awhile already. They watched Prince Elfangor-Sirinial-Shamtul get killed right after the got their morphing powers.

10. How does the book end?

Answer: A surprise ending with the Animorphs fighting the Yeerks to rescue Ax
