Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. A bitter man who hates students and wants to punish them for things like "breathing loudly" and "looking happy".

Answer: Argus Filch

Filch is a "squib". That means that he is wizard-born but doesn't have any magical powers. He is like the opposite of Hermione, who is a brilliant muggle-born witch.
2. A very intelligent and smart girl who is likely to take "lack of information in the library" as a personal insult.

Answer: Hermione Granger

In the fourth book when Harry is desperately searching for a way to breath underwater, he consults a large number of books from the library but still does not find anything. Hermione, however, insists that they should keep on searching because it is her belief that the library can never disappoint you.
3. A man who has been a Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher at Hogwarts, was a good friend of James Potter, and also happens to be a werewolf.

Answer: Remus Lupin

Professor Lupin was a very interesting character, i hope we see more of him in the next book.
4. A boy who is quite disliked by Harry and is the favourite student of the Potions teacher Snape. His best friends are Crabbe and Goyle.

Answer: Draco Malfoy

Draco teases Harry whenever he gets a chance but it is quite clear that he is just simply jealous of Harry's fame.
5. He is said to be half-giant and is extremely fond of strange creatures.

Answer: Rubeus Hagrid

Hagrid was expelled from Hogwarts in his third year for something which he hadn't done. The poor fellow wasn't allowed to use magic after that, but he didn't throw his wand away, he hid it in his umbrella stick and still uses it sometimes!
6. He is the youngest Weasley brother and often has to bring second-hand things to school.

Answer: Ron Weasley

Harry often feels uncomfortable with the fact that his best friend is extremely poor and he can't do much to help him.
7. He is a former Head of Magical Games and Sports, a pleasant fellow and has once been a Quidditch player as well.

Answer: Ludo Bagman

Ludo Bagman is one of the judges at the TriWizard Tournament.
8. The boy whom most of the school (especially the Hufflepuffs) thought of as the "real" Hogwarts champion.

Answer: Cedric Diggory

Draco and his friends distribute badges that say, "Support Cedric Diggory----Potter Stinks".
9. An unregistered animagus who can turn into a bug.

Answer: Rita Skeeter

She is often referred to as "Skeeter woman" by Hermione, and is later trapped in a jar by her.
10. The students thought his turban smelled of garlic.

Answer: Professor Quirrell

Little did they know of the terror hidden behind his turban. Only one of the Harry Potter characters actually wore a turban.
11. A little creature with bat-like ears and bulging green eyes whose favourite piece of clothing in the world are socks.

Answer: Dobby

Well, I guess you had to get this correct, apart from Dobby, all the other names were made up, they don't exist in the Harry Potter series.
12. A thin man, with sallow skin, a hooked nose and greasy shoulder-length hair.

Answer: Snape

They couldn't have chosen a better man to play Snape's character in the movie.
13. He died on October 31st 1492. Who is he?

Answer: Sir Nicholas

He is also known as "Nearly Headless Nick" but his full name is Sir Nicholas de Mimsy-Porpington.
14. When a Boggart would face this person it would turn into Professor Snape.

Answer: Neville Longbottom

We saw this in the third book when Professor Lupin brings a Boggart to class.
15. Who is "Scarhead"?

Answer: Harry Potter

I think maybe even the word "scar" would have been enough for this one.
