In the episode "Beginnings: Part 1", the three original B-squad cadets, Sky, Syd and Bridge, were given the S.P.D. morphers by Kat, who explained the morphing functions and told them about the Judgement mode. She stated, "These are your best friends".

The original B-squad consisted of 5 Rangers, Blue (Sky), Red (Jack), Green (Bridge), Yellow (Z) and Pink (Syd). They were joined by Kruger as Shadow Ranger in "Shadow: Part 2" and Omega Ranger (Sam) in the two part episode "Messenger". Kat helped them as Cat Ranger in "Katastrophe" and Nova Ranger came from the future to help them in "Endings: Part 2".

Supreme Commander Fowler Birdy was the head of the entire Space Patrol Delta Organization while Commander Kruger headed only the Earth base. This fact was made evident in the episode "Dismissed".

R.I.C.'s full name was Robotic Interactive Canine, a fact mentioned several times. He was damaged in the episode "Dogged" and was rebuilt as R.I.C. 2.0, which could transform itself into a handy weapon for the Rangers- the Canine Cannon.

The Rangers initially used the Delta Squad megazord to trash enemies. The Delta Command Megazord was introduced in "Wired: Part 2". Omega Ranger brought the Omegamax Megazord from the future which later combined with the Delta Squad Megazord to create a new one, the Deltamax Megazord. Lastly, there was the S.W.A.T. Megazord, which was very powerful.

In both "Wormhole" and "History", Grumm tried to take over the Earth, though Dino Thunder Rangers were brought to future by Broodwing. However, both the times the past and present Rangers showed a united stance and forced Grumm to retreat, even managing to destroy his largest Krybot army.

All the Rangers had genetic powers while unmorphed, inherited from their parents. Blue Ranger, Sky, could create forcefields, Jack (Red) could phase through objects, Z (Yellow) could create clones, Syd (Pink) could transform her hand into the metal she was touching and Bridge (Green) could read auras of people.

Bridge was often seen eating buttery toast, an eccentric taste like his habit of standing on his head. When questioned by Kruger, he replied "I eat it because it's buttery...it's toast, and well, it is so, so buttery".

Sky always wished to be the Red Ranger like his father. When his father's murderer, Mirloc, escaped by tricking him and captured him, he became very angry. Jack allowed him to use his morpher and battlizer in "Reflections: Part 2" to avenge his father. In a brilliant display, Sky captured Mirloc, though he realised at the same time that heroes come in all colours.

When the Rangers completed S.W.A.T. training to battle two crooks who were using S.P.D. technology, they gained new weapons and features. New weapons included the powerful Delta Enforcers and features included Night Vision and Thermal Scanning. They easily defeated the crooks with their new power.
