J. K. Rowling announced that Snape is an English village. There are two possibilities. The village in North Yorkshire near Hadrian's wall, which also has a Snape's Castle. Or, the Snape Village that is near Saxmundham, northeast of Ipswich near the Alde River.
2. When was Snape born?

Answer: January 9, 1960

J. K. Rowling announced that he was born on January 9. The year, 1960, is based on James' date, as said in "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" chapter 16.
3. Who is Snape's mother?

Answer: Eileen Prince

Snape created the name "The Half-Blood Prince" based on his mother's maiden name and the fact that Snape is a Half-Blood.
4. When did Snape die?

Answer: May, 1998

Snape was killed by Voldemort's snake, Nagini, on Voldemort's order. He was killed about an hour before dawn during the Battle of Hogwarts.
5. Where was Snape's child-hood home?
