Baron Friedrich Heinrich Alexander von Humboldt was a German naturalist who made an expedition to South America from 1799 to 1804.
The Humboldt penguin can be found on the coast and islands off the coast of Peru and Chile. Unlike some other penguins it does not migrate, but remains in temperate waters year round.
