Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. The Humanities category includes the subcategory of "Unusual and Obscure Words", so I can possibly submit a Scrabble quiz there because while playing Scrabble you use a lot of weird words. What category should this quiz actually be in?

Answer: Hobbies

Since the quiz is talking about Scrabble, it's best to put it in Hobbies. Hobbies has a category for Scrabble under "Board Games". The World category includes a variety of topics concerning flags, languages, and much more global trivia. If you just submit a quiz on weird words, it belongs in Humanities.
2. If I make a quiz on high school level French what category does it go in?

Answer: World

Even though it is designed for high schoolers, it should not go into For Children. For Children is for 6-12 year olds, and most high school students are no younger than 13. The General category contains roughly a dozen top level subcategories other than mixed trivia. Brain Teasers are mostly word problems, but include completely unique quizzes also. Be careful when submitting a French quiz, French is a restricted category.
3. I crafted a quiz about Cy Young, a baseball legend. Where does this quiz belong?

Answer: Sports

It says right in the People category not to submit quizzes on sports figures. The Celebrities category is more geared to movie stars and TV stars, while the Entertainment category is geared towards a variety of subcategories such as casinos, Disney World and Wrestling.
4. I conjured up a quiz about "Star Trek". What category does this quiz go in?

Answer: Indeterminable

"Star Trek" has been made into both a TV show and multiple movies. Television quizzes can be made for almost any TV show, except for kids' TV shows, which belong in For Children. The Movies category can also be made for almost any movie, however a long list of movies require the quiz to be good to get accepted. Before you create a quiz check to see if it is restricted.

The Entertainment category tries to veer away from TV and movies other than mixed quizzes and wrestling quizzes.
5. I'm going to submit a quiz about a computer game. Where should this quiz go?

Answer: Video Games

The Literature category accepts quizzes about books and a few other things. Even though the Sci-tech category has quizzes about computers, the quizzes are more for about how the computers work. Even though this game might be a hobby, the Video Games category accepts quizzes on both video games and computer games.
6. I cranked out a quiz on scrambles. Should I submit this to Brain Teasers?

Answer: No

Scrambles are no longer accepted in any category however other word puzzles are still being accepted.
7. I made a quiz on the Buddha. Does it go in People or Religion?

Answer: Religion

The Religion category accepts quizzes on all world religions, as well as religious figures. It says in the People category to not submit quizzes on religious figures there.
8. I contributed a quiz about math. Where does it go?

Answer: Sci-Tech

The Sci-Tech category has a subcategory for Math, but really basic Math quizzes aren't acceptable. There is no such thing as the Math Category. The General Knowledge category will only accept mixed topic quizzes and a few miscellaneous topics, and Math isn't considered a Humanity or a Hobby.
9. I want to make an Entertainment quiz. Which one of these quizzes would go there?

Answer: A Quiz About Disney World

The Entertainment category focuses on entertaining things that aren't in TV or the movies There is, however, a wrestling subcategory and a TV and Movies Mixture subcategory. There are separate (VERY large) categories for TV and Movies themselves. Board Games is a subcategory in Hobbies.
10. I am making a quiz about theater. Should it go in Humanities or Literature?

Answer: Humanities

Though the Literature category has quizzes about plays, quizzes about theater and musicals belong in Humanities. There is a fine line between these two, so if you are unsure, ask an editor!
