Answer: Defend yourself from a possible weapon attack

A lajatang is an interesting weapon. Essentially, it's a staff with crescent blades attached at each end. This implement is rather useful if you love the martial arts and are one of those big time role-playing game playing nerds...like yours truly!

2. Which of these creature's names is from the Sherpa language of Tibet and Nepal, and means 'small manlike animal'?

Answer: Yeti

As you probably well know, the term 'yeti' (or 'yeh-teh' in Sherpa) is used to describe the abominable snowman. Like the the Loch Ness monster and other such creatures, there's no genuine proof of the yeti's existence...but human beings have a penchant for hanging on to fun myths and legends. Beware of the yeti if you plan to climb Everest!

3. You have surely heard of Lenin, the founder of the Bolshevik party. But who was the founder of the rival party to the Bolsheviks, called the Mensheviks?

Answer: Plekhanov

The Mensheviks were also a revolutionary Marxist party, perhaps a bit less extreme than the Bolsheviks. The two parties were actually united until 1903 when Lenin and Georgi Plekhanov had a falling out.

An epidiascope is nothing more than an overhead projector, you know...the one you find in classrooms which illuminates a transparency and enlarges it on a white screen, and can be used to project an opaque object as well. Bet you didn't know it had a name!

The Rongorongo tablets contain the indecipherable (as of yet) hieroglyphics of the extinct Easter Island civilization. Nobody knows where they came from and what their purpose was, some even question whether it is a true writing system at all and not simply designs.
