"Tai-Pan" was written by the Australian author James Clavell and published in 1966. "To Kill a Mockingbird" was published in 1960 and written by Harper Lee. "The Great Gatsby" was by F. Scott Fitzgerald and was published in 1925.

Answer: Torch

Operation Torch was commanded by Gen. Dwight D. Eisenhower and took place on 8-16 November 1942. It was the first main involvement of US troops in Europe, combined also with British troops. The operation was on French North Africa and was successful.

Operation Tungsten was an aircraft attack from British carriers on the German battleship Tirpitz in 1944. Operation Transom was an allied naval air raid on Surabaya, Java in 1944. Operation Tannenbaum was a German/Italian planned invasion of Switzerland in 1940 which was cancelled and never took place.
