Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Where did Hera, wife of Zeus, bathe yearly to regain her maiden youthfulness?

Answer: Canathus

Hera, that angriest of angry wives (and she had good reason to be!), found her virginity renewed each time she settled into the soothing waters of the spring Canathus. The waters of Canathus made Hera irresistably beautiful, but obviously this was not enough for the philanderer Zeus...
2. From which Philosopher was the term 'Dunce' derived?

Answer: John Scotus

John Scotus was a Scotsman from the town of Duns. His town name became the epithet that is synonymous with foolishness, or idiocy, via the humanists, who saw the system of thought promoted by John's followers as retrograde.
3. From what disease did the following people all suffer: Wittgenstein, Einstein, Glenn Gould, and Andy Warhol?

Answer: Asperger's Syndrome

Named for Austrian psychiatrist Hans Asperger, the syndrome is a mild form of autism, wherein the sufferer becomes fixated on certain topics, and suffers socially from the limited scope of their thinking.
4. A form of which human disease is known as 'black-tongue disease' in dogs?

Answer: Pellagra

Pellagra is a disease that results from a lack of niacin or trytophan in the diet, and can cause serious diarrhea and dermatitis. Also found in dogs, the results are similar...with the infamous 'black tongue' added for good measure!
5. In which city can the original Kon-Tiki raft built by Thor Heyerdahl be found?

Answer: Oslo

These makes complete sense...the late UN Secretary-General's home country is Norway! Thank you once again for trying this quiz, I hope you have learned a thing or two and will be interesting in trying some of my other mixed offerings!
