Archaelological finds indicate people have lived in Hong Kong since the Stone Age and the Bronze Age. Stone tools have been unearthed in the Sai Kung and Wong Tei Tung areas. Also, spectacular religious carvings appear on the rock walls of many of the outlying islands that date back to the Paleolithic era.
