Buddha Jumps over the Wall is a rich soup which takes many days to prepare and can include even more ingredients. Xiao Long Bao are delicious Shanghainese Soup Dumplings. Chop Suey is an American Chinese dish not found in Asia.

The rumored origin of the name relates to a group of long distance travelers who stopped near a monastery and began to prepare their stew. The monks inside were so enticed by the delicious smells that they climbed over the monastery walls to join in the feast.

Although this dish is still a popular course at weddings in China and Hong Kong its popularity is thankfully reducing as people become aware of the inhumane way that shark fins are collected.

This is a great pie to make by overlapping the tortillas in a pie pan where you add the brown beef and onion, cheese, chilies and tomatoes. On top of this you place the beaten eggs, cottage cheese, chili, cumin and cilantro. Bake it and serve it up for a great meal. Ole!

This cake is great to make! You need to separate the eggs and then continue to make the rest by adding everything but the egg whites, beating together. After mixing all the other ingredients, add the egg whites to lighten the recipe. Of course add icing to make it that much more special. Lots of work...but worth it for a gathering!
