Glazer safety rounds have good stopping power, but tend not to go through the target to endanger bystanders (they were invented by Hamilton for the purpose of her fiction). An associate of Anita's provided her with an alternative ammo, but she went back to the Glazers when she was told that the more powerful alternative had a small chance of jamming in the barrel.

Lupa is the title for the Ulfric's (werewolf king's) mate/girlfriend, which in this case is her boyfriend Richard. Freki and Geri are the second and third in command of the pack, and Bolverk is the enforcer for the clan. Anita is named Bolverk at the end of "Narcissus in Chains".
