Spelling, punctuation and grammar are all obviously optional on the Discworld.

It would be a squeaky toy next, if you didn't draw the line at collars. Gaspode is certainly not a domesticated dog.

Answer: Honest merchants

Honest merchants? In Ankh-Morpork? This just shows how out of touch the wizards are with the world outside the University walls.

They put hooks over their ears to make the beards look fake. When they later try to convince someone they really are wizards, he points out that can't be wizards, he can see their fake beards.

Answer: Guild of Handlemen

Any time a new industry pops up in Ankh-Morpork, a Guild is created almost simultaneously. Since the Guild is new, they're just handing secrets around, but give them a few years and they'll be handing them down from initiate to initiate.

5. Which of the following is NOT a belief of Mrs. Marietta Cosmopolite (3 Quirm Street, Ankh-Morpork)?

Answer: Some people just didn't have any niceness in them

In addition to the other three things, she believed that there was a bit of niceness in everyone if you knew where to look, and that it did a person good to get out and have a laugh occasionally. Most of what she believed was wrong (especially about the world being round), but by coincidence she was right about the dwarves.

This is one of the questions Victor asks Ponder while they are studying for their Finals. Tshup Aklathep, Inferal Star Toad with A Million Young tortures its victims by holding them down and showing them pictures of its children until their brains implode.

Bel Shamharoth appears in the first Discworld novel, "The Colour of Magic". Binky is, of course, Death's horse.

That is not a typographical error. There really was a studio called "Untied Alchemists". Most of the Discworld books take place during the Century of the Fruitbat, which was then followed by the Century of the Anchovy. Because Holy Wood was destroyed there is no concern about changing the name.

9. According to Gaspode, when will be the right time for Victor to tell Dibbler he wants a "per-cent-age of the gross"?

Answer: When he's got a mouthful of food

We never find out if Victor gets it.

10. What was Riktor the Tinkerer's nickname?

Answer: Numbers

Archchancellor Ridcully remembers him as 'Numbers' Riktor. He built the resograph (lit.: "thingness-writer", a device for detecting and measuring disturbances in the fabric of reality) which begins terrorizing the staff at Unseen University. When the Bursar discovers what it is Riktor's writings say in serious disturbances two pellets will be expelled several inches in the course of a month in the direction of the disturbance.

While he is reading this eight pellets are expelled into the sandbags heaped around it.

This was happening every five minutes.
