1. When Meggie has a moment to herself, what game does she like to play?

Answer: 'what if' games

This is mentioned in the prologue. She asks herself, "What if Callum and Sephy...? What if Sephy and Callum...?"

2. Where do Callum and Sephy first kiss?

Answer: Beach

They first kiss in Chapter 1 because Callum wants to. Sephy doesn't really like the idea but agrees to it after he says that he really wants to.

3. What did Callum say that all the scientists, inventors and pioneers in the history lesson had in common?

Answer: They were all Crosses

This happens in Chapter 30. Callum's history teacher, Mr Jason, says that this is because there are no Nought ones. At the back of the book, there is a note from the author to say that all of the people mentioned were real but she was never taught about them because they were black.

4. Which member of the McGregor family dies first?

Answer: Lynette

Lynette dies in Chapter 36 by walking in front of a bus. Ryan and Callum die later on and Jude does not die in this book.

She slaps Ryan in Chapter 50 because he was involved with the Dundale bombing. She later has to go to hospital.

Callum sneaked round Sephy's to have a go at her because he was angry about his dad's imprisonment. They made up and he ended up staying the night. When Sarah and Jasmine went to wake Sephy up, Callum hid in the bathroom but Sarah spotted his trainers. Fortunately, she kicked them under the bed and didn't tell anyone about it.

8. How did Callum's dad die?

Answer: He was electrocuted

Chapter 82 explains this using a newspaper article. He tried to escape from prison but was electrocuted by the electric fence.

9. What was scratched in the plaster behind the bed in Sephy's prison cell?

Sephy notices this in Chapter 99 and thinks that it must have been written with a fingernail. It must have stuck in her brain because she repeats 'Keep the faith' twice more in that chapter.

In the end she chose to keep her baby and Callum was hung. Callie Rose was born at midnight on May 14. Sephy wanted her to take Callum's name of McGregor.
