Christian Bale and Amy Adams play the pair of con artists who are partners in more than crime. FBI agent DiMaso catches the pair in one of their scams and uses them in a sting operation, instead of arresting them. Of course nothing goes smoothly, in these complicated twists of plot and human relationships, but Lawrence's performance, as the emotionally unstable and slightly hysterical Rosalyn, is brilliant.

Answer: Guardians of the Galaxy

A group of rag-time misfits band together to keep the Infinity Stone out of the hands of Kree Radical who wants to use the stone to eliminate the Xander race and ultimately take over the universe.
Vin Diesel provides the voice of a walking tree who manages to make his one line "I am Groot." express so many different things.

Answer: Jurassic World

It's more than 20 years since the original Jurassic Park failed to live up to its developers' dreams. This time the park is up and running (and has been for about a decade) but the number of visitors is down. In order to increase interest, scientists have created an Indominus rex, a genetically bred dinosaur. Owen is working on training Velociraptors, despite the fact that he disagrees with the belief that they could be used for military purposes and Claire's nephews have come to the park for a visit. Of course everything goes horribly wrong.

Answer: The Help

Skeeter aspires to be a writer and plans a book about the unfair treatment of the African-American servants who work for Skeeter's friends, from their points of view. It takes time but she persuades one woman to talk about her life and the death of her son and this gives other women the courage to speak up.
The backlash once the book is published is fascinating and at times, highly amusing. If you have not watched this movie, I highly recommend it.

Answer: Gangster Squad

Josh Brolin plays Sgt. John O'Mara, a man determined to bring Cohen down. He recruits a team of police, dubbed the 'Gangster Squad' to do just that, carefully choosing men who are not likely to be corrupt and on Cohen's payroll. Although reluctant at first, his partner, Wooters, joins the unit and soon finds himself involved with Faraday. What's a gangster movie without a forbidden, dangerous romance?

Answer: The Notebook

Allie's parents take her away from Noah, whom her mother refers to as 'trash'. Noah enlists in the war but Allie, never hearing from him again, becomes engaged to a soldier she nurses, one whose class her mother approves of. Noah wins her back by renovating the dream home they had planned years before. Allie's mom has a change of heart and admits to withholding the letters that Noah had sent to Allie, in the hopes that Allie would forget about him.

Answer: Sherlock Holmes

Jude Law's portrayal of Dr. Watson provides a wonderful counter balance to Robert Downey Jr.'s almost manic portrayal of Holmes. Together they once again save England, this time from the machinations of Lord Blackwood and the society to which he belongs. This society, after successfully pulling off three key murders, has targeted Parliament as its next victim.
Adler, the one woman who has ever meant anything to Holmes, warns him of the evil of her employer.

Answer: The Imitation Game

As part of a team of cryptographers, Turing worked to break the ciphers of the German Enigma machine. Their eventual success in this task saved many lives and shaved an estimated two to four years off of the war. Their accomplishment could not be made public for many years.
Menzies was a military man whom Turing turned to, to report that he had found out that one of his team was spying for the Russians.
Turing himself paid the ultimate price for his sexual orientation, committing suicide after two years of hormonal treatment.

Answer: 12 Years a Slave

The movie is based on the book "12 Years a Slave" by Solomon Northrup. It tells his story of being a free man who was drugged, kidnapped, given a new name and sold into slavery. It took him 12 years, during which time he endured unbearable cruelty and survived a near hanging, to find someone willing to listen to him and to deliver his story to someone who could do something about it.

He was eventually reunited with his family.

Answer: X Men: Days of Future Past

Because he was able to capture and study Mystique, scientist Bolivar Trask (played by Peter Dinklage of "Game of Thrones" fame) is able to create Sentinels, robotic creatures that can absorb and adapt X-Men's powers, making them almost impossible to defeat. Wolverine's consciousness is sent back in time to prevent Mystique's assassination attempt of Trask, which led to her capture and the green-lighting of a military project called the Sentinels which would lead to the extinction of mutants.
