However, Phil (the reporter, not the groundhog) gets stuck in a time loop and is forced to relive February 2 indefinitely until he is finally able to change himself and his outlook on life and love.

"Groundhog Day" starred Bill Murray as Phil Connors, Andie MacDowell as Rita, and Chris Elliott as Larry and was released in 1993. While initially seen as a good installment in the production company Columbia's film revival, it later became a classic - much-loved and overly analyzed.

"See You Yesterday" is a movie about a smart young black girl, CJ, and her friend Sebastian who go back in time to save CJ's brother who has been killed by a police officer. The more she goes back in time to try and correct the racially-induced error, the more she complicates the events of the present, an act that creates time loops. The story deals with social justice as much as the science fiction aspect of it and it was generally well-received.

"See You Yesterday" stars Eden Duncan-Smith and Danté Crichlow. The movie also has Michael J. Fox in his last movie-acting role before his retirement in 2020. Fox, a well-liked Canadian actor, retired due to increasing struggles with Parkinson's Disease. He was well known for his time-travel movie series "Back to the Future."

Luke and his friends are at a carnival for the last day of summer, and Luke has anxiety about performing with his band, Steel Monkey, in front of the entire junior high on his first day there. Luke wishes that it could be the last day of summer always in the movie "The Last Day of Summer" and gets his wish. However, he discovers that it's not all that it's jazzed up to be and realizes that, to break the time loop, he has to be a better person and to make his situation better by making good choices and taking more risks.

The movie starred Jansen Panettiere and Alexandra Krosney and was directed by Blair Treu. It received mixed reviews.

Answer: Tomorrow

In the 2014 film "Edge of Tomorrow", Tom Cruise stars as Major William Cage, a public relations officer that has been sent to the front lines in order to cover an invasion of human forces against the aliens. However, Cage has been demoted to private for insubordination and is sent to J-Squad, a group of troublemakers and unruly characters. Cage goes off to battle and faces alien forces. He finally manages to kill one of them, despite having no combat training, but is mortally injured as well. Cage is covered in the alien's blood and wakes up to relive the entire day over again. He meets the fighter Rita Vrataski, played by Emily Blunt, who gives him training and helps him focus on what the mission actually is.

"Edge of Tomorrow" received many positive reviews and is based off of a Japanese science fiction novel called "All You Need Is Kill" by Hiroshi Sakurazaka.

Answer: In a taxi

Harris is a taxi driver who picks up Penny and begins a mildly flirtatious relationship with her. Harris is tasked with delivering Penny to a remote location but she inexplicably disappears from his cab. When Harris calls the dispatcher, he is told to get back to his job. However, Harris resets the meter and, all of a sudden, he relives picking up Penny again. Harris eventually finds meaning in his job, which is more than just ferrying people to their final destination, and has a on-and-off relationship with Penny when he does get to drive her.

"The Fare" stars Gino Anthony Pesi and Brinna Kelly, who also wrote the movie, and was directed by D.C. Hamilton.

Answer: On a train

Colter Stevens is a US Army pilot whose last memory had him in Afghanistan. However, he keeps waking up on a train as someone else entirely, a teacher named Sean Fentress and he is with an old friend of his, Christina. However, the train they are on blows up and Stevens awakens in a capsule where he is briefed that he is on a mission to identify the bomber of the train, as that explosion has already happened and they are trying to prevent a bigger future explosion. The Source Code is a machine that uses the memories of the dead people on the train to recreate the last eight minutes before they died.

The 2011 movie "Source Code" was a success which starred Jake Gyllenhaal and Michelle Monaghan and was directed by Duncan Jones.

Theresa "Tree" Gelbman is a university student who relives her death day over and over. She reawakens every morning on her birthday and has to try and solve her own murder. However, she quickly discovers that with every iteration of the time loop, she grows weaker and weaker as the murders take a toll on her body. Eventually, she discovers the true identity of her killer, but also some revelations about herself and her lifestyle that could use fixing.

The movie "Happy Death Day" was released in 2017 and was a general success, enough so that a sequel was made. It starred Jessica Rothe and Israel Broussard and was directed by Christopher Landon.

"The Girl Who Leapt Through Time", or "Toki o Kakeru Shōjo" in Japanese, was based on a novel by Japanese author Yasutaka Tsutsui. It was released as a live-action film in Japan in 1983, then again as an anime in 2006, and once again as a live-action film in 2010.

It also has several non-film adaptations. In the movie, a girl is caught in several time loops when she gains the ability to jump through time by inhaling a drug. While trying to change the past, the girl has to relive a certain day.

It was a success and became Japan's second-highest grossing film of 1983.

Answer: Donald

The 1999 animated Disney movie "Mickey's Once Upon a Christmas" includes three shorter films, the first of which is called "Donald Duck: Stuck On Christmas". In it, Huey, Dewey, and Louie are celebrating Christmas with their aunt and uncle, Daisy and Donald Duck, and are being bratty. They do not appreciate the thought that went to the gift, they just go out and play and come back for dinner with rather poor manners. As they go to bed, they wish for it to be Christmas every day.

When their wish is granted, the trio is initially elated and they keep reliving the day, however, after a while they start getting bored. So, to make life interesting, they pull off silly pranks on Donald and Daisy. However, when they finally read the card that came with their gift and realize that being together with family is more important than getting gifts, they are then able to break the loop.

Answer: Doctor Strange

One of the more fascinating additions to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, "Doctor Strange" opened to the possibilities of multiple universes as well as the manipulation of time. The eponymous character is played by Benedict Cumberbatch and is a neurosurgeon who discovers the wonders of sorcery when recovering from a terrible accident. He is chosen as the time-keeper and the relic known as the Eye of Agamotto. This relic teaches Dr. Strange to bend and manipulate time. When facing the interdimensional being Dormammu, Dr. Strange creates a time loop so that no matter how many times Dormammu kills Dr. Strange, he is able to come back. In the end, in order to get out of the loop, Dormammu gives in to Dr. Strange's demands and allows Earth to be saved.

This 2016 film also features Chiwetel Ejiofor, Tilda Swinton, Mads Mikkelsen, Benedict Wong, and Rachel McAdams.
