"Rango" is a 2011 animated film starring Johnny Depp as the voice of Rango, a chameleon. Rango was someone's pet chameleon but he accidentally finds himself in an old west town named Dirt run by animals. Rango is initially seen as a hero because he saves the town from Bad Bill (Ray Winstone), a Gila monster, and from a hawk. However, the elimination of the hawk brings Rattlesnake Jakes (Bill Nighy), a gunslinger.

Rango is run out of town after it is discovered he mistakenly helped a bank robbing mole named Balthazar (Harry Dean Stanton). Timothy Olyphant voices the Spirit of the West who appears to Rango and urges him to fight for his good name and reputation.

"Gone in 60 Seconds" is a 2000 action film starring Nicolas Cage as car thief Memphis Raines. The film also stars Giovanni Ribisi as Kip, Memphis' younger brother, also a car thief. Kip and his crew failed to steal fifty cars for a British gangster Calitri (Christopher Eccleston). Memphis secures Kip's release but he must complete the task his brother failed. Timothy Olyphant plays Detective Drycoff, one of the the two police officers investigating the car thefts.

"I Am Number Four" is a 2011 science fiction film starring Alex Pettyfer as John Smith, a.k.a. Number Four. Timothy Olyphant plays Henri, Number Four's guardian. John is an alien from the planet Lorien. Lorien has long been destroyed by invaders. John was one of nine children who fled Lorien and the invaders, called Mogadorians, are after those children who are now teenagers.

In this 2004 comedy film, Emile Hirsch stars as Matthew and Elisha Cuthbert as Danielle. Matthew is a teenager who has a crush on Danielle, who is older than he is. Danielle, Matthew discovers, is a adult film actress. Although she had given up that career, Danielle returns to it and her producer Kelly (Timothy Olyphant) when she realizes Matthew only likes her for her body. Matthew convinces Danielle to leave her career once and for all but that move angers Kelly, who is also Danielle's ex.

"Scream 2" is the second film in the "Scream" horror film franchise that debuted in 1996. The sequel begins with a glimpse into the fictional film "Stab", which tells the story of the original film and of Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell). After someone dressed up as Ghostface (the villain from the first film) and kills two people, the media focuses on Sidney, who was greatly affected by the murders in the first film. Sidney is now a college student with several of her new friends, one of which is Olyphant's Mickey. Courteney Cox and David Arquette reprise their roles as journalist Gale Weathers and Officer Dewey Riley, respectively.

"Live Free or Die Hard" is the fourth film in the "Die Hard" franchise. Bruce Willis stars as John McClane who in this film is trying to capture hackers who want to wage a full on cyber war. The mastermind of this plot is Timothy Olyphant's character, Thomas Gabriel. Specifically, Gabriel has his eyes on the U.S. transportation infrastructure, though he has also gained control of various military and energy facilities.

In this 2006 romantic comedy, Timothy Olyphant stars as Fritz Messing and Jennifer Garner stars as Gray Wheeler. Gray was engaged to Fritz' friend Grady, however Grady died before the wedding. Grady left Gray no money but she finds out he has been paying several thousands of dollars a month to a son, Mattie, he had with another woman. Fritz tells Gray that Grady had this child before they were together, but that turns out not to be the case. Mattie and his mother Maureen (Juliette Lewis) find Gray. "Rock Star" is a 2001 film starring Mark Wahlberg as Izzy, Timothy Olyphant as Rob and Jennifer Aniston as Emily.
