This is the first in a long series of horror films about Freddy Krueger. He kills people by getting into their dreams.
This was Johnny's first role. He actually got drenched in pigs blood for the gory scenes. Gross!
Wes Craven is the King of teen horror movies. First, he dominated the 80s with "A Nightmare on Elm Street" series, and then the 90s with the "Scream" trilogy.

"Blow" is a true story about the life of George Jung, a major U.S. drug lord in the late 70s and early 80s.
For this role, Johnny spent two days in jail with the real George Jung.
Sadly, Demme's work as a director was cut short because of his death in January 2002. He died of a thrombotic heart attack while playing a basketball game for the NBA's Entertainment League. He had made a total of 14 films.
