Answer: AC/DC

The Motörhead song appeared in the movie of the same name, a 1987 Comic Strip Presentation, directed by Peter Richardson and starring the usual suspects (Rik Mayall, Ade Edmondson, Robbie Coltrane, French & Saunders, Miranda Richardson, Kathy Burke, ...) as well as musicians like Paul & Linda McCartney, Bill Wyman, Sandie Shaw, Shane MacGowan and Lemmy himself.
2. When you go to a restaurant, what do you do? 'Eat the Menu'? Some band suggested so anyway.

Answer: The Sugarcubes

The Sugarcubes was a band from Iceland. They had two singers. One of them was Björk. The other one wasn't. He was called Einar Ørn. He also played the trumpet.
3. Who suggested 'Let's Eat'?

Answer: Nick Lowe's Last Chicken in the Shop

In 1977 almost the entire roster of record label Stiff went on tour together. Nick Lowe, Wreckless Eric, Ian Dury, Elvis Costello and Larry Wallis. Lowe's backing band was indeed called Last Chicken in the Shop. Wallis' band was called Psychedelic Rowdies.

But Ian Dury and Elvis Costello of course toured with the Blockheads and the Attractions respectively. You can find a nice protrait of the tour on the 1978 album 'Live Stiffs'.
4. What can we have for starters? Well, 'Soup is Good Food' according to some band who obviously didn't take their own advice and starved to death.

Answer: Dead Kennedys

'Soup is Good Food' appeared on the album 'Frankenchrist' ('85). A poster that appeared with this album, depicting famous Swiss artist HR Giger's painting 'Landscape #20' brought the band a lot of trouble. The painting has an alternate title - 'Penis Landscape' - and singer Jello Biafra was charged with "distributing harmful matter to minors".

He repulsed this on the basis of the First Amendment right to free speech and the court case was dismissed the following year. The prosecutor who charged Biafra has since stated that he was in fact only looking to gain some publicity for himself and that he never believed the poster was harmful and that he just let PMRC-affiliated people persuade him to charge Biafra.
5. Yet more 'Soup' was provided by what?

Answer: Can

Can was a German socalled Krautrock band. 'Soup' appeared on their 1972 album 'Ege Bamyasi'; the sleeve of which actually depicted a can of vegetables. Other songs on the album include 'Spoon' and 'Vitamin C'. Malzeit.

Answer: Blondie

8. OK, that's over with. Who wants some 'Apples and Oranges'?

Answer: Pink Floyd

9. OK. Enough sensible suggestions. For afters it seems we can also 'Eat Cake'. Who suggested so?
