"Bad Moon Rising" was written by John Fogerty. Clearance Clearwater Revival recorded this song in 1969, first as a single and later on their album, "Green River". Although extremely popular in America it never reached number one on the Billboard chart.
2. "The Killing Moon"

Answer: Echo & the Bunnymen

Who would have known that the chords of this song would be David Bowie's "Space Oddity" played backwards. Released in 1984 "The Killing Moon" was on their album "Ocean Rain". Echo & the Bunnymen formed in Liverpool in 1978 and it was not long before they received a cult status and progressed to a mainstream following.
3. "Sisters of the Moon"

"Sisters of the Moon" was the fourth single from Fleetwood Mac's album "Tusk" released in 1979. "Tusk" never reached the heights of their most iconic album "Rumours". This song was the brain child of Stevie Nicks, written and performed by her.

"Moonshadow" was a song recorded by Cat Stevens. It was released on his fabulous album "Teaser and the Firecat" in 1971, though it was first released as a single in 1970. Stevens said the song was inspired by seeing a sky without neon lights from a city.

"Song about the Moon" was on Paul Simon's sixth album "Hearts and Bones" released in 1983. Originally it was going to be an album with Garfunkel but when Garfunkel left the project all evidence of his part was deleted. The album and song could be called a flop in music history.

The usual cover artist, Jim Fitzpatrick, also was replaced and this album's cover was designed by Sutton Cooper.

"New Moon on Monday" was the tenth single release by Duran Duran, in 1984. The album "Seven and the Ragged Tiger" was Duran Duran's third album, named for the five band members and two managers trying to gain fame and success.
