Joe Tex recorded and released the song in 1977, his last of nine Top 40 pop hits.

Little remembered Castor recorded three Top 40 hits including the solo instrumental "Hey Leroy, Your Mama's Calling You" in 1967 and "Troglodyte (Cave Man)", which hit the top ten in 1972.

The pop singer Jimmie Rodgers (not to be confused with the country music legend) scored 14 Top 40 hits including another sweet song, "Honeycomb". By the way, I didn't make up Timmy "Oh Yeah" Rogers. He scored with "Back To School Again", a minor hit in 1957.

Or perhaps we can forget London-born Julie. "The Wedding", a remake of an Anita Bryant song, peaked at number ten.

Billy acted in "The Wedding Singer", had spiked hair and was born in Stanmore, Middlesex, England. He also has rock's best sneer!

If you stopped at the red light, great job. As for the fruited ones, they cracked the Top 40 five times. Their biggest hit, "Simon Says", peaked at number four.
