The "Goldberg Variations" were published in 1741 and were composed for the harpsichord.

Four of Wagner's 13 completed operas make up "Der Ring des Nibelungen", which is one of his best compositions.

The "Four Seasons" are probably the most known composition from the Baroque period and one of the most known compositions of all time. Each concerto represents a season. The first represents spring, the second summer, the third autumn and the fourth winter.
